Great great signing. Doesn't have Winslows age but is a better option:
-dual threat: catching and blocking
-good attitude
- cheap 1m or less
- huge 6'7 250 big mismatch
-34 for 325 4 td on the leagues worst offense
- smart and character guy out of Stanford
- can practice every day
- huge red zone target _________________

From what i read he sound's like a good catching TE but struggles at blocking. |

Sorry man but Winslow is twice the Blocker Moore is. No joke.
Moore couldn't block someone if they fell over in front of him.
Has some talent as pass catcher but it's limited. He couldn't beat out a basketball player and Alex Smith who us Browns fans have been wanting to see the back of for years.
We did have high hopes for Moore but concussions seemed to derail anything he was going to do. _________________

Evan Moore offers nothing in blocking, though he was thought to be slightly improving this year in that department before dealing with an injury. That being said, this guy has some of the softest hands I've ever seen. He catches bullets, he catches lobs, he can even scoop it close to the ground. He's a big guy who, if utilized properly by a competent coaching staff (and I believe Seattle has one) will be one of your best red zone threats.
He wore out his welcome in Cleveland because of his deficiencies in blocking, but instead of drawing up more plays to get the ball in his hands, Cleveland just sort of gave up on the guy. On a team that suffered so many drops last year from their receiver corps last year, I'm a little miffed that we let Moore go. Especially considering all the youth we have at the receiver position this year, and a rookie QB.
Also, he's not really fast, and doesn't tend to do much after the catch. But he's just so big that often times it won't matter.
I really think Russell Wilson is going to love this guy. |

To be fair, Jordan Cameron was our most improved player in camp this year, and losing Moore likely had more to do with Cameron's development.
While Hornby is right about Alex Smith's appeal to fans, Moore's receiving is much better than Alex Smith's blocking, and it is still disappointing that we decided to keep Alex Smith. Just because Moore "lost out" to Smith doesn't make it the right decision. |

You guys got a gem. If put in the right playing situations will perform great. I'd gladly trade you guys back that fat idiot Holmgren for Moore |

Haha! Holmgren is old school for sure. With all the rule changes of not able to hit a defenseless reciever has helped out the slow catching TE's in the middle of the feild. Don't know anything about this guy but like the sounds of the soft hands. |

Interesting commentary by browns fans! Thanks.
I didn't think anyone could get worse at blocking as a TE
Except kellen so i could be wrong about that. _________________

Also gotta believe cable will have something to say about him as a blocker. If he can take a 7th round DT and turn him into a starter I think he ca

Moore wont really have to block anyways. Maybe Seal an edge on occasion, but that's about it. He'll be used essentially as a receiver lining up at TE. I like the signing, it shows they had a plan in place when they let Kellen go. _________________

With the emergence of McCoy where does he fit in? With Winslow gone does McCoy come in as a blocker and Miller gets more looks in the passing game?(i really hope so, love me some Zach Miller) Or does he slot in at #2 and as the #1 pass catcher at TE? _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

I agree. If Tom Cable can get Moore blocking to the extent that he can do SOMETHING, then that will be enough for what we want out of him. |
