Good signing for them. Could be a good nickel or dime.

Love it. We needed CB depth in the worst way.

Good job Reggie. get this horrible draft picks off our team. Our 3rd and 4th is now from the past year is now off our team and both where playing a position of need. Just shows how much they suck.

Interesting... this kid has a lot of potential. I'm sure he'll get claimed off waivers by someone.

I would gladly take Van Dyke and his potential over the Vikes #5 or #6 CB, Brandon Burton or Marcus Sherels.

The only reason people think he has any potential is because he's fast.

He also has great length, has some playing experience and is still young. Any CB with 4.3 or faster speed on a 6-1 frame will be viewed as high potential, its rare to find those kind of athletes.

He's been developing his instincts in practice quite well apparently. Didn't seem to carry over into games though, so yeah. I guess he'd be a worthwhile investment from a team that doesn't need him to play much and can develop him. We just needed players who could play and couldn't afford to keep him around with our cap situation to just develop him.

The length is kind of negated due to his frail frame. He's one of the thinnest football players I have seen. He's not physical and he lacks instincts in a bad way. He was a terrible pick and I'm glad he's gone. He might be worth it as a 5th CB but you won't get much more.

This. Poor instincts, not good on STs, struggles tackling because he's built like a sprinter.

He was the talk of camp for the first week. Then on game day, he was torched repeatedly. He can't find the ball and make plays on it. He's so frail WRs just out position him and push him around.

I actually applaud Reggie McKenzie for how well he's been doing things in Oakland... He doesn't care if you were drafted in the 3rd round the year before. If you suck your not going to have a spot on the final 53 man roster. Period. No need keeping a guy around from the previous regime because he was a high pick. Especially when he was a reach in the 1st place.
