Per Aaron Wilson:

Bryant McKinnie is due a $3.2 million base salary, but Ravens would ideally like to cut his pay.

The Ravens are attempting to restructure tackle Bryant McKinnie's contract, per a league source, situation could lead to his release.

Bryant McKinnie in a text to me when asked if he's off the team: "Yes." |
I'm not going to get too excited yet. This could just be a move where they cut McKinnie then resign him to a cheaper deal. I agree that Osemele would likely be the RT if he's gone for good though. |

McKinnie refused a pay cut so of course that led to his release per a text from Aaron Wilson to 105.7 the fan with Vinny Cerrato and Rob Long. |

| I like this move.. We might have a growing pain or two in KO but in the long run this is the best move for us. KO is a guy who will put in the time and grind each game compared to a guy who has been called out his whole career for being lazy |

Apparently its not official yet. Hope it becomes official though. This guy is a complete idiot and a waste of talent. _________________

I'm sorry but any way you want to look at it, McKinnie > KO. _________________

How so? With the way Osemele has played this off-season as well as the way McKinnie played last season I don't think there's much room for a downgrade. It's not really a question of McKinnie vs. Osemele though. Oher at LT is better than McKinnie given the current makeup of the line (and in just about any other scenario). I'm comfortable with Osemele playing at RT and Reid is there to push him if he struggles. If McKinnie is cut then keeping Harewood makes more sense too. |

Another way to look at this is that the Ravens are running the no huddle offense which of course is a fast paced offense. Oher and K.O. are better suited at the tackle spots in that kind of offense than slow McKinnie. |

Half of Bryant McKinnie's $3.2 million base salary already set to be garnished due to $4.5 million lockout loan lawsuit. Fluid situation. |
| Quote: | Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider
Bryant McKinnie is willing to accept some cut in pay from $3.2 million, per a source, but not a 50-percent reduction. |
| Quote: | Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora
Ravens have not released LT Bryant McKinnie yet, but told him they intend to do so after unable to agree on a reduced salary... |
| Quote: | Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora
They could have a change of heart before today's waiver deadline or work out a late deal, but that's highly unlikely now. Oher goes to LT |
Could it be... No, I must way until it's officially over. |

From WNST:

Ryan: McKinnie said he was not sure of his starting status. Said are not a lot of tackles of his caliber in the league making 1.6 million.

Glenn: Fascinating stuff in the McKinnie saga. I wonder how any of us would react to being asked to take 50% plus paycut. #Ravens

Ryan: McKinnie said the Ravens asked him to take a paycut from 3.5 million all the way down to 1.6 million, and began to work their way up.

Restructured deal for Bryant McKinnie is done, per a league source. So, he remains the Ravens' starting left tackle.
