| I actually don't mind this because I want the Saints to have all of their overrated players on the field so they won't have any excuses when Carolina wipes the field with them. |

You don't have a shred of proof of it being justified, and apparently neither does Goodell.
Said it in earlier threads and got laughed at: the bounty scandal is a sham and the Saints were made into scapegoats for Goodell's personal agenda. _________________

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Screw you Roger. Justice has prevailed. Now it's time for the Saints to unleash their fury on every single team in the NFL. _________________ Teams: NFL:New Orleans Saints

Yeah, the Saints players just proved that they were innocent.
Oh wait no, this just found that Roger Goodell doesn't have authority to suspend players for illegal payments, only intent to injure per the CBA and that he can still suspend them if he justifies it as intent to injure.
I'd expect to be missing Vilma come the end of the season / playoff time if I were a Saints fan. |

You understand this has nothing to do with the actual bounty case, right? _________________

Not only that but wasn't this an appeal to an arbitrator that had already ruled Goodel DOES have the right to punish this? This is so far from over it's silly to expect anything out of this other than a delay to a final answer. _________________

These guys deserved their suspensions. I hope whomever has the authority promptly issues the same suspensions. |

| Quote: | | Unlike any ruling that may have been issued by Judge Berrigan, the ruling from the internal appeals panel, which overturned a prior decision from arbitrator Richard Burbank, is final and binding. The league has no recourse — unless the league chooses to file a lawsuit attacking the outcome of the internal arbitration. |
It has been a very interesting ride this off season...I am now thinking the regular season will be just as interesting.
Just when I was hoping this could all go away _________________

| The Judge overturn the suspensions because the Saints "bounty program" was nothing more than a performance pool. Just like Saints fans have been saying all along. Booya. |

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/07/nfl-will-honor-decision-of-appeals-panel/
“Consistent with the panel’s decision, Commissioner Goodell will, as directed, make an expedited determination of the discipline imposed for violating the league’s pay-for-performance/bounty rule,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said. “Until that determination is made, the four players are reinstated and eligible to play starting this weekend
So yeah...they are not exactly out of the woods yet it seems. _________________

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/07/bounty-suspensions-will-now-go-back-to-the-commissioner/
| Quote: | | Inspection of the four-page summary decision signed by Richard J. Howell on behalf of a unanimous three-person panel reveals that the case will now go back to Goodell. The panel decided that, based on the various overlapping jurisdictions of Goodell and the “System Arbitrator” and others under the labor deal, it’s unclear that the suspensions imposed by Goodell fall within his jurisdiction, and not the jurisdiction of the “System Arbitrator.” |
| Quote: |
Here, the arbitration panel decided it’s not entirely clear whether Goodell imposed the suspensions under his authority to prevent conduct detrimental to the game or whether he infringed on the exclusive power of the “System Arbitrator” to penalize violations of the salary cap |
The problem appears to be whether the suspensions fell under the umbrella of "conduct detrimental" or a salary cap violation. So, the players could still end up suspended after they sort it out. |
