This might be the first time ever but I agree with baconrad. Geno's ceiling is higher than Matt Ryan. He possesses a strong arm, good athleticism and an extremely quick release. Those tools can take you as far as you need to go if you have the accuracy, mechanics, decision making and football IQ.

That's not really going out on a limb. Ryan didn't possess much upside coming out of BC. Most saw him as a heady quarterback, but lacked the impressive physical tools to see tremendous amount of upside.

I never said it was going out on a limb.

But would he do it in a Sharknado?

Man, I want to see Geno under some pressure in this game vs T-Tech.

There's no reason to worry about this debacle if you're a Geno fan. Texas Tech has the top ranked pass defense in the FBS, correct?

Geno relies too much on Tavon Austin. Kept trying to force it to him even when he's clearly covered...

I'm not going to put Geno down because of this one game. RGIII went through the same thing against Oklahoma State last year, and he bounced back ok. Lets see what Geno is going to do.

He was forcing stuff in general later on since they were down big and he had to make something happen. He spreads the ball around a lot though and had a few great long passes the WRs couldn't keep their hands on.

The 4th down play in the 3rd quarter really stuck out for me. It's 4th and 6 on your own 30 IIRC and he sails the ball out of bounds way over Tavons head. Tavon wasn't open and didn't leave him room near the sidelines to fit one in. Not sure why he didn't look elsewhere. If it wasn't 4th down I wouldn't blame him. Just looked like oh well Tavon is covered so let me throw it away...

If someone takes Geno Smith in the first round, I'll laugh.

He was exposed for being a fraud against Texas Tech! Let me repeat that - Texas Tech!
