So can anyone tell me the real scope about this guy. I've seen his highlight videos and read about him. Seems like a good football player with some off the field issues and some poor QB play that hurt his numbers.
The guy is 6'3 230 pounds, runs a 4.4, 39 in veritcal leap and according to some sources tore it up at the NFL combine. Was one of the best performing WRs there.
If this guy can get it together, I could see him making the roster and battling Bennett for the #3 position.
By the way, in the BleacherReport picture of him, he looks like TO in the picture especially wearing the #81....
What's your guys take on him??? |
He is a big target with great linear speed. Takes time to build up his speed because of his size. Lacks quickness and has issues with drops. With that said there is talent for Trestman and the staff to work with. He's got great measurable but for anyone to say he will be our #3 or even make the roster at this point is a bit too early. I actually like his counterpart at Rutgers better, Brandon Coleman who will be one to watch next season.

I think he's a bit stiff and doesn't play as big as his size indicates. Intriguing athleticism but I think he's practice squad fodder for now.
Hope I'm wrong

I expect one of Wilson or Harrison to make this team, and likely contribute some as rookies. We don't have any real 4th WR, and even Bennett is likely under some pressure to perform or get out.

Harrison broke his foot prior to his pro day and had surgery to repair it shortly thereafter. The Bears knew about it and knew he wouldn't be cleared until some time before TC. So while you are right that he may never be signed, I'm not surprised he failed his physical, and i doubt the Bears are either.
