The seahawks are not able to beat the cardinals, even with the help of referee | Really? Really? Please leave. _________________

Yep...because every ref that officiates a team practice is clearly biased towards that team... _________________

Besides the point. It's against NFL rules, it shouldn't have happened.
It's not the Hawks fault though, it's the league/refs fault. _________________

Fair enough. I'm not gonna dispute that. Surely the league would have realised that beforehand, but oh well.
For all we know, the ref could be a Steelers fan at heart. I doubt that the refs get to choose where they work during the training camp. _________________

One of the referees for the Saints game today was pulled from his duties as well because he too had ties with the Saints.
This replacement referee issue is getting completely out of hand. How does the league let this happen? _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

They didn't have time to do checks on all the replacements, I'd imagine. _________________

He was paid by the Seahawks though, not the league. That's where the issue is. He was on the Seahawks payroll, not the umbrella, all encompassing payroll of the NFL.
Can you imagine if a guy on the Seahawks payroll this offseason, made a call that saved their bacon in that game? That would've been sooooo messy for the NFL to deal with. _________________

How do they not have time to do checks on these guys? I would find that unbelievable. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

did he have a "tie with the Saints," or did he post a Facebook pic of him wearing a Saints jersey?
bit of a difference, legally. _________________

Yep. This week 1 gift by a ref in a game we still lost makes up for getting Stealered in the Super Bowl. I feel so much better now.
What's even funnier is that the Patriots couldn't beat the same Cardinal team and they were at home. I'd say we did pretty good for a road team and that timeout really had a minimal impact on the game. That's not why it was blown out of proportion, it was heavily publicized because it was an obvious error. _________________

What does this have to do with anything? |
Because clearly one of the worst officiated games ever with real refs is made up for by the fact that a replacement ref who may or may not have been responsible for the 4th timeout was a Seahawks fan in a regular season game, amirite? |
And everything revolves around the Steelers. |
Clearly Goodell's at fault. |

If he has a jersey, I'd imagine he has a tie as well. Maybe some cufflinks, too. _________________
