| I wonder if RG3 has ever held for FG's .. I think he should be working on that and maybe by next year -he could do it.. Imagine the fear he would instill.. come out of the hold and roll out ,, run , throw .. Awesome threat. |

I think Rocca is actually doing fine at that for the time being. Of course Rocca needs to work on getting his punts off faster. Not that it's all on him, blocking is a problem also, but IMO it's a combination of both.
I don't envision Griffin being our future holder, I see Cousins being our future holder when Rocca is no longer on the team. Whenever that may be. _________________

Cousins ! brilliant==good idea.. I like that .. He'd probably love to be in a game anyway he could get it --like Theismann returning punts etc.
I didn't mean this as a criticism of Rocca -- he's really good --but not a threat to run or pass.. |

| With the current state of the officiating, do we really want Griffin on the ground worrying about getting the hold down while some defensive lineman comes in to clean his clock with a blindside? |

Exactly, cause the holder is always the one to get creamed. _________________

| So we go w/ the Cousins idea ,, however, I really NEVER remember a holder being hurt --but it sure could happen. |

If an opponent had their franchise QB as a holder, are you telling me that you wouldn't want to get an extra lick in on him? |

Did the starting qb being the holder work out well for the Cowboys? |

This was not meant to be sarcastic. The holder is always the one to get hit hard when there is a blocked kick in the works. The kicker has penalties in place for roughing the kicker and running into the kicker.
The holder has nothing.
So yes of course, you will try to give him a good lick if you can. _________________

Actually Romo was not the full time holder for when he muffed the holds in Seattle.
He just wanted to be in on the play in case anything went wrong, which it did, and he couldnt get a hold of the ball to actually do something with it other than run it. _________________
