Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. Fifteen years earlier, an unknown phenomenon disabled all advanced technology on the planet, ranging from computers and electronics to car engines, jet engines, and batteries. People were forced to adapt to a world without technology, and due to the collapse of public order, many areas are ruled by warlords and militias. The series focuses on the Matheson family, who possess an item that is the key to not only finding out what happened fifteen years ago, but also a possible way to reverse its effects. However, they must elude various enemy groups who want to possess that power for themselves.

anyone else watch this last night? it had very decent set dressings and visuals, but the characterization seems like it's trying to attract the Twilight teen crowd. that, and the young heroine carries a bow. hmm, seen that one before.
didn't know if we had a thread on it already. _________________

We might as well lock this thread, the chances of this one not getting canceled are extremely low. _________________

We'll see how many viewers it holds for week 2, but the premiere had the biggest debut for a network drama in 3 years.
It was also the biggest audience for a 10pm drama since 2010.
They could lose a good amount and still be fine. Week 1 to week 2 is always a decent guage to where a show will stand. It also will face it's normal competition with Hawaii 5-0 and Castle having their season debut next monday.
I watched it. It wasn't terrible. Nothing great either. Like Terra Nova the budget isn't really enough to make it all look real so it will depend solely on the mystery. _________________

Didnt watch it, but think the premise is very lame and the acting in all the trailers and snippets I saw were really bad.
Wont be watching.
But given some of the garbage on TV these days, I'd still say it has a fair shot to catch on. _________________

The premise is lame? I think its freaking awesome. The world would go CRAZY if everything electrical just stopped working. This show has potential, the shooting scenes were a little much though. When people got shot with an arrow they flew off their feet _________________

The one thing that really stood out to me was how absolutely horrible of an acting job the main character girl did (don't know her name, wasn't worth remembering)...it was scary bad. _________________ 2012 AAL: Chris Greenwood |

Saw the pilot, wasn't really impressed. The lead actress was pretty bad and nothing felt natural. The only good thing is Gus Fring is in it! _________________

Moreso how it happened than the premise itself.
It just seems like one of those shows doesnt have the steam to last long. I dont think that premise will hold up well for more than a season or 2. It might be okay as a movie or miniseries, but TV series?
The acting, however, may kill the show before it makes it that far. _________________

| I don't know what the equivalent for tonedeaf for acting is but I think I have it. Cause unless you're horrible, I rarely notice like on this pilot. |

If you have some theory about how all electricity is going to stop working forever, wouldn't you tell someone besides your wife and brother? _________________

This is the part I don't get as well. And what is the deal with that chick having the same necklace and using electricity? _________________

I thought the plot sounded alright, but it reminded me of that one show that bombed a few years ago. I think it was Flashforward? If this one gets a second season and has good reviews I might give it a shot. _________________

| Is this show gonna be based on stupid people? First the dumb son with the "let my dad go even though i'm outnumbered" and now the daughter with the "don't kill the people trying to kill us" routine. |

I'm going out on a limb and saying that the one guy is never going to get killed in a sword fight no matter how badly he is outnumbered as he always is. Bold prediction I know. _________________
