This is the 2nd week out of 3 we've just looked completely unprepared. He looks emotionless on the sidelines. We haven't made any adjustments yet.
I think he is a smart HC that the players like but when you have as many talented players as we've got on defense, certainly we should be better than this? Not top 10 good or anything. But I've not been impressed with our defense outside of midway in the New Orleans game. And the team just looks sad. No head coach should allow his team to play this poorly. This isn't just based off this game either. I've been skeptical with him even after his poor time management last year. Just concerned that maybe he just isn't cut out to be an HC. Maybe I'm just overreacting like I always do during games but again, we've got to look more prepared than we have. |

I always felt like he was keeping the seat warm for Cowher, while Hurney and Co. got the pieces together. _________________

Too passive. But he is not going anywhere for a while, so whatever. _________________

I feel like Rivera is doing the same thing we are, just watching the game. _________________

I think the ships kinda sailed on that. Fox leaving was the opportunity for that. |

Cowher has said he did not want to do a rebuild project, at the time, the Panthers were a rebuild project. He wants a good team that he can elevate to a great team. _________________

Looks like he's going to have to wait a little while longer. _________________

| Sean McDermot, (donno how to spell his last name) anyone? I clearly remembering Eagles fans wanting his head and they laughed when we got him. That was a ridiculous soft zone we used tonight. Reminded me too much of Fox. |

Yeah I definitely see some coaching flaws on this team. There's no fire from Rivera, and McDermot has never been a good DC. I kinda wished Rivera was our DC and we had someone else as a head coach. I still wished we were able to land Jim Harbaugh when he jumped to the NFL, I was praying for him even back then. _________________

To me this staff is kind of like the Iowa staff under Kirk Ferentz. They run one offense and one defense and refuse to make any adjustments they just line up run the same 30 plays and if it works great, if not, oh well we'll do the same next week and hope it works! Rivera is a good guy but as you can see that doesn't mean great coach! Lack of adjustments kill us every week and it showed tonight as we just rolled over for their offense _________________

| Just because he's stoic doesn't mean Rivera doesn't do anything. |

i'm glad i'm not the only one feeling this way. I was wondering if i was overreacting but i'm already thinking we might have peaked with the current coaching staff. Mcdermott needs to be canned and chud needs to stop being so cute with the playcalling. sadly, as of right now i just don't see us getting much better. i do hope i'm wrong. but getting destroyed by andre brown and barden?!?!? something major needs to change _________________

It's not that. It's the fact that this team has come out flat out unprepared in 2 of 3 games already and last year, there were countless poor time management issues. Not saying fire him already or anything, just a bit worried. |

Theres almost no chance we get rid of Rivera, but if this type of play keeps up and we finish with 5 or 6 wins, I wouldn't mind us giving him the boot and promoting Chud to HC. _________________
