| Amerson getting exposed again against Miami right now (ESPNU). I really question why he is struggling so much this year. I think he might actually be a better fit at safety than corner. |

Understatement of the century there.
At this point I'm honestly questioning if there's a zone system capable of masking his inability to run/hang with receivers (particularly if he's facing pro level WR's) that's being implemented in the NFL.
At this point I think it's a foregone conclusion that he moves to safety if he wants to get drafted any time before Day 3. _________________

Been saying for awhile LBC he needs to play in a system similar to the Jaguars, where Mathis had similar issues, but has been great in the off-zone read/react role. _________________

I still think Mathis has far superior instincts compared to Amerson, and there's only so much you can teach/develop instincts - typically you either have them or you don't.
Moreover, and this can be taught but still doesn't help the case of the prospect, Mathis (even as a prospect) was a superior tackler to Amerson. DA is long and wiry, sure he can put on muscle but he's already got issues with his speed and quickness at the lighter weight he's at right now (which I'd wager is closer to 185 or 190 than his listed 194); he's going to get horribly out-muscled by the bigger, more physical receivers that have trended lately in the league and embarassed in the open field by the compact, quick-twitch guys that are really starting to trend the last two or so seasons (guys like Randall Cobb and Cecil Shorts would juke Amerson out of his cleats and they're not even near the upper echelon of receivers in the league). _________________

Amerson is the same player as Jimmy Williams from V Tech was and like Williams will not last in the NFL _________________
