And doing HR's better than anyone else just dosnt cut it or count. Miggy has more total bases per out, in part due to his HR, but that dosnt matter. | lol care to address anything revolving around WAR or any other sabermetric that goes against your argument?
Trout has 30 HR as a 21 year old rookie LEADOFF hitter in 137 games. Miggy has 44 HR in 159 games. Oh, did I mention that Trout isn't even a power hitter. But yes, let's use HR and RBIs as our only focal point. |
When did I say RBI? But as long as you like to bash it and blame it solely on guys being on, Miggy hits .360 with RISP, he hits 420 with RISP and 2 outs. thats clutch. Trout hits .330 with RISP, and .280 with RISP with 2 outs, thats not clutch and is part of the reason for discrepency in RBI. Also Miggy hits .337 in the 7th or later, thats clutch. Trout hits .259, thats not clutch.
And yes, Defensive sabermetrics are awful. WAR uses defensive sabermetrics and i find it stupid. There are some Saber stats that are useful and legit. A lot are made up like QBR and taken as end all be all by saber heads. If saber stats were so legit and the answer, they would be what is used. But they arent. Saber stats are like the BCS.
And again, i dont care if Trout is a rookie or 21. He dosnt have the power Miggy does. Not even close. And Miggy has more doubles so he is still on second base or further as trout with his steals. Miggy plays in a park in which his HR production is dropped by likely 10 HR a year. Miggy's total bases per out is higher. Miggy has
If you read back though, you will see that is not my focal point, just a small tidbit of it. _________________

But it obviously does matter...since the only reason their in is because it's a weak division. |
Well you guys had a chance at your division AND the wild card, but couldn't grab on to either. Just sayin', we played as well as we had to to make the playoffs, you guys didn't. |

And don't even try to use the Braun/Kemp 2011 season. As I mentioned early, Braun's team was 13.5 games better than Kemp's. _________________

They are used by the majority of front offices in baseball, and the majority of baseball executives would take Trout over Cabrera for the MVP. But as we all know, BBWAA members are smarter than FO executives. _________________

No, saberstats are like the BCS TOO YOU because they don't support your argument. Defensive saberstats dock Miggy significantly thus why you think that they are stupid.
Why shouldn't WAR equate defensive performance? Explain that to me, if you will? _________________
