Reading the rules will increase your chances of winning
RULE UPDATE: Picks are final once the first game of the week starts.
RULE UPDATE:2 people will be eliminated each week until there are 7 or less people left in the game. On weeks where 7 or less people are in the competition, only 1 player will be eliminated that week.
Here is the concept:
Think Survivor + NFL Pick em (confidence rules).
You pick games (confidence rules apply) and groups of people with the lowest point total get eliminated each week.
There are 30 participants, so the bottom 2 total scores will be eliminated each week, leaving 4 contestants remaining on the last week.
Remember, your total points are what matters, and your scores carry with you from week to week.
The rules are as follows (I stole some of these from the Vikings Forum)
 YOU MUST SIGN UP NOW TO SAVE YOUR PLACE. THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS Wednesday 9/27. You can post your picks at any time, but It's key to sign up ahead of time, so I can figure out how many people will be eliminated each week.
I am not responsible for people assigning incorrect number values. Start at 16 with your most confident pick, and then go down from there. It's possible that numbers 1,2 or 3 will not be used in a given week.
This game will start week 4.
Each member has to have their picks in before the scheduled start for each game.
Each pick must have a numeric value of importance assigned to it. Any pick that doesn't have a corresponding number, will be given the highest value.
Numeric values will be 1-16. The more confident you are in your guess, the higher the number you assign the game. Be aware, not all weeks will consist of 16 games. You may use the numbers 1-16 no matter how many games there are in the given week

You can only use a number once per week. So that means you cant give every team a 16. The 16 should be reserved for the team you feel most confident about winning. Use 15 for the next most confident and so on until you get to the game the game you are the least confident about. If you use a number more than once per week, the first instance of the number will be accepted and the subsequent numbers discarded and given the next highest number.

Each week, a group of participants with the lowest point total will be eliminated from the competition. The point total is cumulative. You get to keep your scores from the previous weeks
The number of people eliminated each week will depend on the number of entrants (this number will be solidified Wednesday before the first Week 4 game.
Editing your posts is fine, but if the timestamp of the edit is past gametime of the first game of the week, you will be eliminated.
TieBreaker 1: total score for the most recent week
Tiebreaker 2: number of games picked correctly for the most recent week
Those will be the only tiebreakers. If it is still undecided after these tiebreakers, all tied participants will remain in the competition.
This game will end after Week 17. If there is still a tie (which the tiebreakers cannot break), the game will extend into the playoffs.
