| What do you folks think about Sean Renfree from Duke and a junior linebacker from BYU, Kyle Van Noy? I think Renfree has some good upside and I really like Van Noy as someone who can get to the quarterback from his linebacker position. Do you see Van Noy going pro early and where do you see each player being drafted and what teams are the best fit? |

I love Kyle Van Noy as a prospect. I would compare him to an upper middle class Von Miller. I don't think he is on the same level as Von Miller or Jarvis Jones, but he brings that same pass rush ability to rush the passer and IMO is better in coverage than both. I don't believe he comes out this year because he's not really on the radar coming from BYU. I guess you never know though so I guess he could. _________________

| Kyle Van Noy had two sacks last night vs. hawaii. He now has 6.5 sacks on the year and 9.5 tackles for the season. If this keeps up, doesn't he have to declare for the draft? Not too many OLB are this good at getting to the quarterback. |

What I like about Van Noy is his versatility. He doesn't just pin his ears back as a pass rusher play after play but is also used in pass coverage as well. I also like his range and he moves well intracking the ball both in run defense and in pass coverage. IMO, like most college prospects he still needs to improve getting off of blocks in run defense. He is inconsistent in this area from what I have seen, but considering he is still only a junior that is to be expected and that is certainly something that can be corrected. I think he is scheme diverse and that is a big plus. _________________
