Chances are they were fooled by the fake Pepe Reina link just as everyone else way. Turns out it was from a fake verified account.

Van Persie's coming home! Laughing

Probably David Villa, or a large bid for Gotze/Jovetic so Wenger has something to crow about next week.

I just need to know I need to know I want to know what's going on.

I stand corrected - FOX Soccer ‏@FOXSoccer

Folks, it does not involve a certain goalkeeper making the rounds. We're hearing talk of another defender.

If we come out of deadline day with a LB and a DM, I'd be ecstatic.

Weird, moves for defenders are rarely considered shock moves.

Monreal has reportedly passed his medical, and The Sun is reporting it to be done, so we'll wait until someone other than The Sun confirms this..

Any Arsenal move is a shock move. Kidding aside, it's probably just FOX Sports posturing. But it might also be a big name player.

Arsenal have agreed a fee for Nacho Monreal (8.5m). (Sky Sports)

Less than initially thought - good price for him.

I think the Fox Soccer report was actually just Nacho Monreal.

There appears to be a slim chance we sign Villa, but other than that it looks to be an underwhelming day.

Yeah most likely - Fox Soccer isn't the type of outlet to be able to break any kind of transfer news.

Monreal is certainly more than I had hoped for today, so anything else is an added benefit

It's a nice deal and all, but I was really hoping for an attacking-oriented player. For a club that is built on its free-flowing style, our offense has just been way too predictable and inconsistent this year.
