As a Saints fan...
It kills me to see us drafting #1!
I doubt we end the season with the top pick but I do hope we land a very high draft pick. This draft is loaded with Pass rushers and the Saints need to land a couple off'em! I'd love to see the Saints land a top 10 pick then trade back and land a 2nd rounder we lost in the suspensions.
Your dead on with us taking a DE though...
I see the Saints being extremly aggressive this offseason to land Spags some much needed pass rushers and while Montgomery would fit the bill I wouldent be opposed to sliding back due to the overall talent at pass rusher in this draft. Personally I'd be happy to land any of these following players...
Sam Montergomery LSU
Keke Mingo LSU
Jarvis Jones GEORGIA
Bjoren Werner FSU
William Gholston MICHIGAN STATE
Michael Buchanan ILL
Alex Okafor TEXAS
Devon Taylor SOUTH CAROLINA
James Gayle VT
Jonathan Jenkins OSU
Bennie Logan LSU
Manti Te'o NOTRE DAME
Brandon Banks MISSISSIPPI STATE
So, as you can see... the Saints need quanity over quality on defense because were just GOD AWFUL right now!!! _________________

| Good pick with Wilson, quarter of the way thru at 2-2 Fitzpatrick has a 12-7 TD/INT ratio..He is serviceable so Wilson could sit a year behind Fitz to learn system |

If the Panthers are picking that high Star Lotulelei is our guy. It's been too long since we have had a dominant DT in the middle. _________________

I'm not loving the Steelers mock. 2012 fourth round pick Alameda Ta'amu is the Steelers future NT. The Steelers DL is the least of their concerns on defense. If they do go defense in the first it will be LB or secondary. With the Steelers picking that high they need to take the best shutdown corner or a pass rusher like Mingo. _________________

Agreed, but the fact that this mock has us picking #28 made me fall off my chair, laughing. The only way we pick that low is if we trade down. Our passing game is abyssmal. |

Give us Wilson or Lewan |
Your way too nice. OT, S or bust. _________________
