Just read an article about Stanford fielding 10 players whose fathers played in the NFL. The history buff in me decided to look up others, but nothing really popped up. The article mentioned that the Pac12 alone has 46 such players. So, I'd like to try and make a complete list. Help would be appreciated.
Stanford:
Ed Reynolds (Ed Reynolds)
Ricky Seale (Sam Seale)
Kevin Reihner (George Reihner)
Nick Davidson (Jeff Davidson)
Noor Davis (unidentified)(Uncle Andre Tippett)
Alex Carter (Tom Carter)
Kodi Whitfield (Bob Whitfield)
Josh Garnett (Scott Garnett)
Barry Sanders (Barry Sanders)
Andrus Peat (Todd Peat)
UCLA:
Jerry Rice (Jerry Rice)
Tevin McDonald (Tim McDonald)
Ill finish this later _________________ The SEC fears Chip Kelly- Believing until proven wrong-

RB Barry Sanders Jr (Barry Sanders) - Stanford (Freshman)
DL Mario Edwards Jr (Mario Edwards) - Florida State (Freshman)
I think Deion Sanders son plays for someone (smaller type school).
Not this year, but next:
RB Kelvin Taylor (Fred Taylor) - Committed to Florida
RB Ray Lewis III (Ray Lewis) - Committed to Miami (FL)
RB Berkely (sp?) Edwards (Father Stan Edwards, Brother Braylon Edwards) - Undecided
Just off the top of my head, I'll probably remember more later. _________________

Mike Mauti (Rich Mauti)
Michael Zordich (Mike Zordich)
Jonathan Warner (Curt Warner)
There might be more, Penn State always has a lot of legacies. Too bad we don't have a Suhey or Wiz on the team right now.
It seems like many college players have fathers and other relatives that played college ball, but NFL fathers are a little less common. |
