Ok, everyone knows Percy Harvin is playing lights out this year. And he has been an electrifying playmaker since entering the league. So my question to yall is do yall think that Percy Harvin is a top 10 WR? IMO i think that he was right on the brink before the season, and now has solidified that title of being a top 10 WR.
My top 10 WRs:
1. Calvin Johnson
2. Larry Fitzgerald
3. Andre Johnson
4. Steve Smith
5. Hakeem Nicks
6. Greg Jennings
7. Roddy White
8. Vincent Jackson
9. Percy Harvin
10. Mike Wallace
HM: Julio Jones, AJ Green, Reggie Wayne, Miles Austin _________________

Percy Harvin is not better than Green, Jones, or Wallace. Not sure if he's better than Wayne either, who is proving he is still one of the better receivers in the game.
But Harvin is a good wideout. Just not top ten, at least not yet. |

Top 10 weapon maybe since you can add his running ability. But not a top 10 receiver. He isn't a bad receiver. But not top 10. Top 15 I'd consider, top 20 definitely. _________________

| He catches most of his balls at or near the LOS. You could probably name 30 WRs better. |

Top 10 weapon maybe?
Percy Harvin has been unbelievable. I'm not sure which player is a better weapon, let alone 9 better weapons. _________________

Arian Foster
Lesean McCoy
Ray Rice
Calvin Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Andre Johnson
Maurice Jones-Drew
Any top 5 WR/RB basically, maybe the top 3 TEs. _________________ Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, and Bruce Irvin will all have at least 1 pro bowl season each by the end of the decade.

Speaking of weapons, he just returned a kick for a TD. _________________

No. I'd put him in top 20 though like 16-20 range. _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors

He's a Top-20 WR
Top 3 weapon, if not the best weapon. _________________

This. Not sure how people are calling him the best weapon, most versatile? Sure. Weapon doesn't mean versatile though, just a dangerous offensive player with a lots of production that opposing teams must always account for. People always say guys like Harvin and Sproles are the best weapons in the NFL but I'd rather have, like Bobikus said, any top 5 RB/WR on my offense, does that not make them better weapons?
As far as the question, no. Harvin is a top 20 receiver and it's funny/sad how you listed Harvin over Wallace. _________________

The guy is playing like a top 10 WR. He's been extremely successful when put at running back. He breaks more tackles than any other WR in the league, and his YAC is incredible. He's also a top 3 kick returner.
Shouldn't be surprised, this is the same guy that got dominated in a poll against DEZ BRYANT in the offseason... _________________

Harvin is a great player but I'm not convinced he's a great WR, at least not in the traditional way the position is played.
Just for the sake of discussion, ignore what Harvin does as a returner and runner. Do you take him over Mike Wallace, Julio Jones, or AJ Green? No, not unless you're crazy.
He's a better all-around offensive player than he is a WR. |
