Looking at production alone from hte consensus top 3 vs. White over the past five years:
Roddy White - 471 catches, 6422 yards, 42 TD's
Andre Johnson - 395 catches, 5703 yards, 35 TD's
Calvin Johnson - 366 catches, 5872 yards, 49 TD's
Larry Fitzgerald - 463 catches, 6480 yards, 45 TD's
So he's 1st in catches, 2nd in yards and 3rd in TD's
Then again, people just spout off without actually watching the games. Mesa, I doubt you've even watched a Falcons game in the past three years.
btw, if you included this year:
Roddy White - 498 catches, 6835 yards, 45 TD's
Andre Johnson - 411 catches, 5971 yards, 37 TD's
Calvin Johnson - 395 catches, 6295 yards, 50 TD's
Larry Fitzgerald - 482 catches, 6692 yards, 47 TD's

No, but should be the consensus top 5. Since 2008, Calvin, Andre, Fitz, White, and Jennings are the clear top 5 imo. White is just not as tall/fast/talented in general as the first 3. Other than that, he is clearly the next in line. White numbers when he retires will probably a lot higher on the all time lists than many people realize. He will probably retire in the top 25 all time in yards, catches, and touchdowsns. Definitely an excellent career.
The honest wide receiver rankings for the NFL. In terms of where they are currently. This is a list 'the best', i.e. Victor Cruz's chemistry with Eli doesnt change the fact that he just isnt overly talented.
1. A.J. Green
2. Calvin Johnson
3. Andre Johnson
4. Larry Fitzgerald
5. Roddy White
6. Greg Jennings
7. Steve Smith
8. Hakeem Nicks
9. Mike Wallace
10. Dwayne Bowe
These guys are the obvious #1s on any team they're on; they're elite talents with production to match. Green quickness has to put him on top of Calvin; there is just no flaw in Greens game. Could be stronger, but aside from that, he is elite in every way, at every thing. Calvin's limitations out of his breaks are a strength of Greens, who can turn/change direction like he is 5'7, even though he is 6'4. Green has to be the most complete receiver in football.

slow down. I love me some AJ Green but hes not the best WR in the league yet. Hes playing like a top 5 WR now but thats the highest i'd put him as of right now because he is ballin' right now.

I would say A.J. Green and Calvin Johnson are playing at a slightly higher level up to this point in the season. I think Roddy would be right behind them and right in front of Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. |
