I'm exactly like this. I dont have an extensive checklist for what I want. They basically have to be someone I have fun w/, I find them attractive, and would enjoy hanging out w/ a lot. I'd also prefer low maintenance and be able to take a joke as well as get deep. Apparently it isnt acceptable to say: "I love but the Pats are on and I also love Tom Brady. And to be fair Tom Brady was in my life first" when they want to go do something on a sunday afternoon.
But I'd rather be single and chill than be in a relationship w/ someone I dont care for much. I usually meet one w/ some potential every so often and get to know them and see what happens. _________________

Met my currrent wife when we were 18 and we've been together for 14 years. I appreciate that I didn't have to waste my early 20's playing stupid games with women trying to find "The One" _________________

I don't believe you can actively search for "the one". I think I have a similar philosophy to your friend. I feel like I don't even want to waste my time with girls I'm not 100% crazy about. My buddies make fun of me all the time, but if I don't feel like it could go somewhere, I don't even bother.
I'm sure one day I'll look back and regret not doing certain things, but for now, it's good enough for me. |

Have I not posted in this?
Yearn to live in a world in which there was a "One."
Yearn to live in a world in which there was "mostly the one"
Yearn to live in a world in which "the only girl I ever thought was perfect for me didn't ditch me half was through courting to sleep with my roommate and break me forever"
Nah, I'll settle for girl I can enjoy being with and never have to stress about. _________________

you will never be a lump sir. Always a bump. THe bump of of a center, of which to base a perception, of a reality which defines a life which defines the values which I will perpetuate. WTF dude, canyou handle this responsibility. I feel like i need to scooby doo the responsibility into seperate groups. You still get scooby and Fred though. _________________

I got lucky when I found "the one". She came to my house; literally
My wife and I definitely have our extreme differences. I'm much more book smart, but she's more street smart. She knows quite a bit about cars and I know just about nothing... yet after almost 5 years, she's still horrible when it comes to sports...
However, when it comes to the important things in life, we rarely have issues. We've honestly fought maybe three times since we got together (as in, started dating all the way until now as a married couple). It's just so easy to get along. The best part was my wife and I are best friends, which makes things so much easier.
After about a year of dating, I know she was "the one" just by how well we got along. For me, that was the deciding factor. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |
