Last meeting: Divisional Playoff Round, 2011 NFL Season
After the Broncos shocked the Steelers in the Wildcard Round, they came to New England to play the Patriots. And promptly got destroyed. In New England's first playoff win since 2007 in the AFCCG, they dismantled Tim Tebow & co 45-10, with Brady throwing 6 touchdowns (to Tim Tebow's 9 completions), 3 of which went to Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots defense lived in the Broncos backfield, sacking the QB 5 times and also getting a number of TFL's. However, with Peyton Manning at the helm this time around, a whole new gameplan will be needed.

the interior OL of Koppen Ramirez and Beadles will be the place to attack. None can handle Wilfork 1v1 and occasional spikes blitz should be good way to stop Manning from stepping up in the pocket.

6 of the last 7 Brady-Manning matchups have been decided by 1 score or less. No reason to believe that trend will be broken this time around.

The Broncos are hoping to have Chris Kuper back this week. Don't know that it makes alot of difference versus Wilfork, but better than Ramirez none-the-less.
It sounds as if Koppen is not highly regarded around here. We aren't really losing much with Koppen. Probably actually get a better pass blocker in Koppen.
Alot of stoylines in this one.

Yeah, the only person I knew that was high on the Broncos center was Gruden. Koppen isn't good but the guy he is replacing wasn't very good either.

I think you're in the running for the "Understatement of the Year" award. The guy was a warrior, and six or seven years ago, he was an excellent pivot, but now? He's a snack to guys like Ngata and Wilfork. |

Koppen has a lot of problems holding up against bigger, NT type defensive lineman. |
