Who will finish with the better season?
Welker is the proven product in a sufficient offense while Amendola is hitting his NFL prime and getting ridiculous targets from an up and coming duo with Bradford. After today,
Welker: 25 REC, 380 YDS, 0 TD, 15.2 AVG
Amendola: 31 REC, 351 YDS, 2 TDs, 11.3 AVG _________________

Amendola is gonna have a really good year but Welker still has Brady as his QB. Think Welker barely has a better year if he gets targets like he has in years past. _________________

Amendola doesnt have Gronk, Hernandez and Lloyd to help take some pressure off of him. Or Brady. Welker will have better numbers pretty easily. _________________

true, but you could also go with the fact that those guys will take touches away too. Its the never-ending debate _________________

Welker, he plays on a better offense. _________________

Amendola will probably have more receptions, but he's really the only bonafide WR weapon on that offense. Welker will near Amendola's reception total even with Brady spreading it around. _________________

Half of Amendola's stats came in one game in a 4 game sample.
Welker last season had more yards and receptions and TDs than Danny has had in his entire career.
Dumb thread is incredibly dumb. Even if Amendola gets his stats inflated because he's the only pass catcher on the Rams, it doesn't change the fact Welker is the better player and will continue to play better and therefore will have a better season as his performance is unquestionably better. _________________

Amendola is a boss. He's freaking good and extremely shifty. No doubt that Welker is better.. But he's also much older. Danny has him in the future. Danny is a mismatch nightmare. He requires 2 guys on him if you want him out. Just what the Bears did. Also, he's going to have the better season. Sam's numbers throwing to him are nuts. Crazy fettuccine _________________

Last year was Amendola's 3rd season in the NFL which he missed with an injury. Welker didn't break out until his 4th year...which Amendola is currently doing.
And the thread isn't even asking who the better player is, it's asking who will have the better statistical season. Defensive much?
And being the only pass catcher doesn't inflate your stats. It allows the defense to focus on you and makes your job a lot harder. Amendola is still catch 74% of his targets(which is higher than Welker's)...so much for "inflated" stats. _________________

No the question was who would have the better season. Welker is the better player in the better team and will make more of an effect on the game than amendola.
It's welker and it's not much of a cOmparison beyond two white slot guys. _________________

Yea...who will have the better statistical season...which is why the stats are in the OP showing how close they are?
As for Welker having more of an effect on the game than Amendola, WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG! WRONG! _________________
