He was limited in yesterday's and today's practice, and will finally be a full go on Monday. With that said, what did you think of McCray at S? If he is up to speed with the defense should Johnson get a shot at the starting lineup?
IMO I would like to see Johnson on the field sooner than later. Only because I liked what I saw in his college tape and I'd like to get a glimpse of Johnson the pro before we go into one of the best safety draft classes in recent history.

I doubt we see him get a shot at a starting job any time soon. He wasn't able to practice during the off-season and missed all of the preseason, so it's going to take him a while to get up to speed with the defense.
We might see him in on special teams and a few packages, but don't expect a heavy workload. _________________

Yea, I only expect to see Johnson get action on special teams and very limited action on sub packages on D. At least for a while anyway. If McCray starts playing poorly later in the season, I could see him getting a couple of starts. _________________

We'll see him in very vanilla coverages. He's a smart kid and we need to get him on the field.
McCray is average at best, so I dont know how much we lose if we plug in Johnson full time though. _________________

For what it's worth I thought McCray played well against the Bears. The only time he allowed a catch was late in the game against that TE, and he had excellent coverage. It was just a flukey catch. Sensabaugh on the other hand was fairly bad. _________________

The way I see it is we know what we have in Church IF he makes a full recovery. IMO McCray is just ordinary, Kieth Davis 2.0. Next years draft is supposed to be the best Safety class in a long time. I would like to see how Johnson (if healthy & up to speed) looks like on an NFL field before we go into that draft. From what I saw in his college tape was a ball hawking turnover machine, if he can make some plays that's great. If he sucks we know we should pick someone in the 1st two rounds (all depends on when JJ wants to go OL). _________________

| Once again, can he play G or C? Then he's not that much help to this team. |

Considering we are really thin at S, I think he might help a wee bit. _________________

NO! NO! HT!
There is but one truth. Only the interior lineman really determine the outcome of games. They all meet before the game and play a brutal game of dominoes. After the victors emerge, they stage the outcome of the game in theatrics, it's kind of like pro wrestling. _________________

I thought it was Uno that they played. Whoever won was going to be the only one to actually block that week. Costa is ruthless with the Draw 4's. _________________

So, are you guys REALLY trying to tell me the Dallas Cowboys have issues at BOTH offensive line AND safety? When did these problems emerge? Is this something new? Or is this something that a certain group of intellectuals has been saying is a problem since BP was still the HC? It's kinda nice know that we can depend on certain positions to suck out loud over an 8 year period. When it comes to failing to fix obvious problems... The organization is as dependable as a certain geyser in a famous national park.
I propose that we dub the person responsible for these failures... "Old Gloryhole." _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...
