a thread to discuss the wounds, operations, and owwies you've had that required surgical stitching to close up.
inspired by me bonking my head today above my eye and it taking 17 stitches to close it up. _________________

4 Surgeries, multiple gashes... Never had stitches. Probably a couple times that I should have gotten them, but never did. Steri Strips have done a good job holding me together. _________________

I cut my thumb trying to open a Chef Boyardee can because the little handle thing broke off. Had to get like 6 or 7 stitches. Cans always freak me out now. _________________

Blew out my knee and had surgery that used staples and stitches to make sure that inflated ball that I called a joint didn't bust through the skin 24/7. Besides that I've never needed them. Usually a pretty healthy kid, don't get sick ever, and have never broken a bone or anything. _________________

When I was three, I busted my face on the edge of our coffee table. It took eight stitches. I've still got the scar. Women love it, for whatever reason. According to my ma, when we were at the hospital I asked if I could just get a band aid so we could go home.
My appendix almost burst so I had to have it removed. This was in HS. It ruined my whole fourth of July weekend.
I had a mole removed about eight (?) years ago and it took three stitches to close it up.
That's all the stitching so far. I didn't include all the breaks, tears, and sprains. _________________

1 Surg, and I took part of my right-index-finger-tip off slicing cheese just about 2 months ago. Didn't get stitches though, it was too big a chunk in a very peculiar place. Had to have that bad boy cauterized(sp?). Now that hurt. _________________
