I remember reading some early draft projections back in '05 that had him as a late 1st rounder. Nfldraftscout.com rated him as a 3rd rounder in their final pre-draft projection. But then he wound up completely falling off boards.
Anyone know what it was about him that scared teams away?

| I think he ran like a 4.6 or 4.7. He also didnt display fluid hips. |

| He ran a 4.69 40 time which I'm sure scared just about every team away. Also always had issues with penalties and had poor instincts from what I'm reading. |

It took him some time to develop, its not like he is a "cant miss" guy

Pretty much
He has good instincts now, but they would have come with time. We also run a scheme that fits his skillset.
Plus he has trimmed down as of late.

That's because he was not in the NFL until last year. 28 years old.
