NONE of the potential coaching candidates that I have heard of so far interest me at all for the Browns.
Jauron I really like as DC...
- The Browns would be stupid to let him walk - much like letting Seely leave.
Childress has great experience...
- If he is replaced I would like to see a college coach brought in to bring some dynamic ability to the offense.
Shurmur will have two years under his belt, has experienced coaches under him (like an OC!! grrr), and everyone will be on the same page.
- NO top coach is going to come to the browns. Im not sure who they would replace him with that would be better, and major scheme changes would be disastrous. Jauron would be my top choice right now, but I dont want to loose the defense in the process...
Heckert has made some good choices
- Heckert has also made some bad choices. It would not bother at all to see Heckert shown the door, as long as someone with positive experience is brought in. The team cant have a GM trying to learn on the job.
Holmgren looks like he has done some positive things.
- Unfortunately he hasnt done enough positive, and has made too many bad choices. Go ahead and bring in Banner....
Assuming no major scheme changes, Jauron stays, and the roster is not nuked I dont have much of a problem with replacing a few people this offseason. |

Every GM makes bad choices. Go find me the perfect GM and I'd say lets get him, but he doesn't exist outside of perhaps Ozzie Newsome (and even he has big misses) _________________

Im not asking for a perfect GM as I agree there isnt one, but Heckert has had some big misses which weigh against him. |

Dude, I think I know that. Heckert has made good ones and poor ones as I already said.
Every person makes poor choices no matter their position, but that doesnt mean that those poor choices will not be held against them. Everyone has to be accountable for their actions. If Haslam and Banner(?) think Heckert has made too many poor choices and move to replace him than so be it. |
