Was hoping fans of teams who actually got the chance to watch these players week in and week out could give me some perspective...
Glenn Dorsey
Tyson Jackson
Aaron Curry
Derrick Ward

Dorsey has started 64 of a possible 68 games for the Chiefs since being drafted.

Dorsey is a 4-3 DT playing as a 3-4 End - he's not in the right scheme, so he did not make any noise. Look at Adam Carriker with the Redskins compared to the Rams, and I think that is the difference that we will say in the level of play. Many times on this board I have heard Chiefs fans argue that his measurements do not impact his ability as a 3-4 End, but looking at the rest of the 3-4 Ends, and those who perform at the highest level, there is good reason to question why the Chiefs have two players that do not fit the prototype for a 3-4 DE. (For clarification, I am bashing Pioli)
There are always players that 'disappear'. I wonder whether Adam Carriker would have been one if he did not find a home with the Redskins. Granted, he is injured at the moment but he has been a steady positive presence for the Redskins.
My hope for the future is that we will see less examples of players who are washed out because they fit poorly with the scheme or the coaching style. A player like Dorsey was immovable with that contract, when he probably could have garnered a fairly good price prior to the beginning of his sophomore season.

Derrick Ward was a #2 RB for the Texans in 2010, with Arian Foster as the #1 and Ben Tate on IR with an ankle injury. 2011 saw Tate take over the #2 role, pushing Ward down to the #3 spot. The Texans signed RB Justin Forsett to play the #3 role this offseason, leaving Ward without a job.
I believe he is "retired" but a few phone calls would get him to reconsider...

I agree with your take on Dorsey, but are you implying Tyson Jackson is a bad fit as a 3-4 DE as well? You can argue Jackson is a mediocre player but to me he seems like a pretty natural 5-tech.

Anyways, what ever happened to Patrick Ramsey, back in the day I wanted Buffalo to take him in the 2nd, but he ended up being taken with the last pick in the 1st round.

Can't really comment on his time in SEA, but in Oakland he was something of a playmaker. He was good at setting the edge in run support and occasionally got some PDs. He had lapses though and also was overaggressive at times.
This year he's been on PUP with undisclosed knee issues.

Dorsey and Jackson have underwhelmed thus far for the Chiefs. Neither are bad players, but both are basically useless for any sort of pass rush. Jackson has a nice bull rush, but doesn't use it often enough. Dorsey is simply a bad fit for the position, at least partly due to his height. His explosiveness in college didn't transfer at all. Jackson was a reach to begin with, and has played about accordingly with how good of a prospect he was. He should've gone late 1st round in the first place, IMO. He's the better of the two, presently. Both are good run defenders, and terrible pass rushers. Kind of fitting for Romeo's scheme, but limiting at the same time.

He never played a single down as Domanick Williams, yet that's all anyone remembers him as. It makes no sense.

Eh probably becasue that is what he retired as. Davis had a couple of big seasons at RB for the Texans. No idea what he is doing now.
