Cool, glad you had a good time. What was their reaction to Stephens' predicament? And, seeing as how Neer is from Des Moines (as far as I know), were they there for him as well?

The guys behind us knew Neer on some level as well. I had some money riding on him, so all of us were pretty bummed at the upset.

Kind of glad Strikeforce is gone, depending on what the UFC does with some of the guys moving forward. Wasn't really serving much of a purpose. Wonder what they'll do with Rousey, probably going to have to let her and women's MMA go I suppose.

I could see Zuffa coming to some kind of agreement with Invicta FC to put certain female fighters on UFC cards. Rousey, Carano and Cyborg are likely the only three that would ever even have a shot but to determine matchups or contenders for each (if Carano even fights again, which is doubtful) they could go through Invicta.

Having Rousey around is a cash grab and Dana isn't going to let her out of his clutches until she loses in the octagon or loses interest from fans.

EDIT: Miesha Tate may have a small shot as a fourth potential female UFC fighter.

Melendez finally in the UFC 155 mix. Biggest news out of all of this. Also, isn't Mousasi still under the SF banner? He's coming over too?

idk if it's because I don't follow MMA as much as I did a couple years ago, but Moussasi seems to have dropped off the face of the earth after the King Mo. I remember him being hailed a top 5 p4p fighter.

Because he's not facing relevant guys.

Almost lost to Jardine Laughing

He's a fantastic boxer, but he's not the best athlete. Not sure where he's doing his camps these days, but he could benefit from an American camp with a few top notch wrestlers.

It'll be interesting to see where K.J. Noons goes from here. I always enjoy watching him, and I think it would be fun to see how he would fair in the UFC. His grappling (or lack thereof) would prevent him from ever being in the top 10, but he could beat a few solid guys. He did school Nick Diaz in their first fight, and the rematch was close. I bring him up in particular because, while obviously not the best 155er over there, he still has a decent track record and is well known. And he could make for some awesome fights against the likes of Barboza or Njokuani.

Regardless, he'll always be a winner. He gets to come home to Melany Lorenzo.

Ariel's best interview was clearly his sit-down with Chael where he bashes Wandy, Fedor and Mirko, right? Wrong. This one tops it by a country mile:

Strikeforce isn't dead yet. They're November show is still a Go, even thought they haven't gotten their license yet.

Well, there is a potential issue in booking him in a title fight if Diaz beats Henderson. Would he drop to 145 and look for a title fight against Aldo?

Good point. But, as a fan, I have absolutely no interest in seeing that.

LOL... I know, right?

It's so cringeworthy and hilarious at the same time.
