Steve Smith active next week now. Do we go after TO or Plex?

Why? They are trash now.

Yah, it's time to work on the development of Pettis/Quick and Givens. These three should be important cogs moving forward...

I guess Smith jut isnt the same guy after the injury, Im not sure why we are keeping him around if he is a healthy game day scratch. We might need to use him now, but he has been quite the disappointment. Maybe he can come back into the Slot spot?

Is there anyone out there as a Free agent right now that can be a slot guy?

Is Salas still out there? I mean I know he was released by the patriots.

I think that Ship had definitely sailed. Unfortunate, I like his skills alot. Maybe he wasnt the same after the Ankle tho?

Depending on the break, and hoping its only a bone break, Danny could be back in a Month or a bit more. Ryan Matthews as a RB only missed like 5/6 weeks right? I know he hasnt been great since being back yet, but Im just pointing out a timeline.

Salas is on Patriot's practice squad. We just need our receivers to step up. Givens and Pettis can both play from the slot.

So disappointed about the injury though on two levels. Rams can't catch a break and stay healthy and that Amendola worked so hard to come back after last year and to suffer another injury right when he was breaking out in the league and getting the deserved recognition.

Turf show times on twitter said sportscenter is reporting amendola doesn't have a broken collarbone. That would be great news

Here is the tweet from TST:

[quote]SportsCenter is saying that Danny Amendola does not have a broken collarbone. If correct, could be very good news for the Rams.[/quote

Will find out more in Fishers presser today though.

Yea, apparently They still arent sure. I would guess that the swelling was too much that they cant get a clear enough picture.
ESPNInsider wrote:
Rams GM Les Snead informed Jeffri Chadiha of ESPN.com that they won't know the official diagnosis until Friday, but that the collarbone doesn't appear to be broken.
So we wont know everything till probably Monday.

Even if broken, its ikely only a month. If its a fracture I would think it could be less time. But if there is structural/ligament damage near his shoulder it could be worse than a Broken bone.

So dont get too excited yet, we still have no clue whats going on.

From rotoworld:

"Contrary to a previous report, Rams GM Les Snead indicated that Danny Amendola's clavicle does not appear to be broken.
ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Thursday's tests were inconclusive. Snead acknowledged that the team will not Amendola's full diagnosis until more tests are run on Friday. Whether the clavicle is broken or not, the early expectation is that Amendola will return later in the season. The initial timetable of 4-6 weeks could change pending Friday's news. Stay tuned for updates. Oct 5 - 9:35 AM"

I really hope it is nothing serious.

We're not playing again for 9 days so that's also a good thing. If its not broken then he may only miss practice.

Whatever the injury, I'm sure he'll miss at least three or four weeks.

FWIW, I didn't get the vibe he broke it. I actually thought it was more likely he separated his shoulder or something just based on how he landed and all.

I really hope he isn't hurt, Amendola is one of my favorite players. I love guys that are scrappy like that.

Yeah there is no silver lining in this situation lol.
Amendola relieves pressure from Sam. A wr who
constantly gets open. Sam's rating throwing to
Amendola is very good IIRC, over 100+ last time
I read a stat. We are going to struggle. Hey at least
the Oline is playing well in the rushing department.

One can only hope one of Wrs step up. But i don't see it.
But I'll say that our WRS now>>> our WRS from last year.
so it's a possibility. Plus the Cards are a top 5 D.
