I am looking to get some opinions on prospects you guys feel project well to a 3-4 ILB with sideline-to-sideline range, ability to be used as an inside blitzer, and not a liability in run defense. Basically I am looking at a Daryl Washington-type of role.

Two prospects that came to my mind are Oregon senior Kiko Alonso and Penn State senior Gerald Hodges. Both seem to have the versatility to fill that type of role in a 3-4 defense.

What players do you think project well to this type of role and what round do you ultimately see them going in when it is all said and done?

Chris Borland, I've seen him rushing the passer a lot this season...

UCONN ILB Sio Moore is a bit small, but he could fit your description. Same with Trevardo Williams if he gets moved to ILB: he has 4.3 speed.

Almost all of whom are presumed to be entering the draft.

I think Ogletree fits the description best.

Where do you guys think Gerald Hodges could end up grading out come draft time? Could he be a middle 2nd to high 3rd?

Arthur Brown is explosive as a cobra. The way he shut down RG3 at the end of that game last year was unbelievable. I haven't seen many players take over a game from the linebacker position.

Ogletree has that kind of range but you don't see him shooting the gap and making big plays in the backfield quite like a Daryl Washington. Gets his hands on a lot of passes though.

I like Devonte Holloman as a role player his first year, while learning the position.
