| Quote: | Because the Bucs have chosen to honor the 1997 team for the Ring of Honor ceremony -- to be held on Oct. 14 against the Chiefs -- they obviously can't wear creamsicle orange. The '97 team, as you probably know, was the first to wear the current red and pewter. It also was the first team to return to the playoffs, ending a drought that dated to 1982. The Bucs could have celebrated any of Gruber's teams during his ceremony, but the '97 team was the first team he played on that really merits recognition.
So, does that spell the end of throwbacks?
Nope, says co-chairman Bryan Glazer. He announced today that the Bucs will wear their popular throwbacks the following week, on Oct. 21 against the Saints. |

I wouldn't be scared of Quinn either. That being said, he's more of an unknown than Cassel, who clearly no one has any reason to be afraid of. There's more to fear from Quinn, he showed a really good arm last week and was a 1st round pick, who's never played with any good players around him...It's not like he's failed on a team with good skill players like Cassel has. _________________

Must win, i see Chiefs and Saints games being very Winnable.
I dont think we can hold Charles to under 100 yards as he is simply too good, sure Alfred Morris ran for over 100 last week.
also Talib being suspended is bad timing as who can cover Dwayne Bowe with Eric Wright coming off an injury. I fancy the Def to get a few Turnovers off Quinn if he has to throw and McCoy and Bennett maintaining their form we could force him into mistakes.
If we play rush Def like we did we Panthers and Cowboys i think we may win this comfortably as the Chiefs Def has been awful
This could be the game which gets our Offense going
Doug Martin and LGB run for 150 yards a 2 Tds between them (we should give Blount at least 10 carries)
VJ has over 100 yards and a TD against his old Division Foes _________________ Adopt a Buc:

R&Ps keys to the game:
1. Josh Freeman: He needs to move the ball successfully through the air, not make mistakes, but also not play to lose either. If he can spread the ball around, be a notch above efficient, that should open things up for our run game.
2. Our front 7 needs to generate pressure and get in Quinns face. Our secondary has been poor with Eric Wright being our only quality CB back there. From first viewpoint, you'd think KC would look to pound the ball down our throats, but I think they're going to run a well balanced attack as our secondary was already worst in the league with Talib. I think they';re going to pass the ball more than you'd think.
3. Stop the run. We've done a solid job in that department this year, but the Chiefs may have the best offensive line in the NFL, hence leading to Charles being the leagues top back the past few weeks.
I don't have a prediction other than this should be a very close game. Freeman needs to step it up and play like the "Franchise QB" he's been labeled as. |

I still don't understand why he isn't active. He could be that scat back Tampas been looking for. Plus he's a much better KR than Benn. I think Schiano needs to reconsider the work-horse RB routine and add a 2 Back load with a sprinkle of speed in Smith. |

I don't think he's a better KR than Benn, but I agree with your original point. I don't understand why he isn't active either. You would think that with our ground game struggling we would try to see if he could make something happen as a change of pace back. _________________

I don't believe they trust Smith in pass protection situations. I believe Sullivan is more comfortable with Ware in that position. |

I'm not saying in 3rd down crucial situations. Why not mix him in a little bit and utilize his speed. |

I was more thinking that we would deactivate Blount (since we barely use him anyway), but you are definitely right about Ware. He knows what he is doing in pass pro. _________________
