I think the Twins killed that trade. Revere isn't anything too special imo and they got back a pretty good young SP and one of your top prospects.

Heard he's a Pierre clone. Has glove, no arm, no power, can steal bases.

I think "has a glove" is an understatement. The guy makes highlight plays every day it seems.
But Trevor May will make this trade interesting. I'm a huge Revere fan, but I'm not ready to announce the Phillies as winners of the trade just yet.

Eh a lot of people soured on May when he was terrible in AA last year.

Here were my thoughts posted in the Phillies thread

Revere is not that good. At all.
The only thing he does well is run and even there he is overrated.
He really doesn't have the defense. A career -4drs in center field.
His offense is horrendous. About a .300 AVG but no walks or extra base hits means is OBP is anything special and he is well below average in any metric giving offensive value.
His base stealing is overrated. Only successful about 80% of the time. That is barely breaking even.
If Worley was even half of what he was he is better than Revere. And May could have been a 1.0WAR reliever at worst with his fastball-curveball combo.
The fact that he hits lefty just further makes it horrible for us.
If we trade for Young too I'll flip. Selig needs to exercise the "for good of the game" clause and fire RAJ himself. |

and just sit on Jarrod Saltalamacchia, David Ross and Ryan Lavarnway? The Sox would have to give up a TON to pry the Minny boy away from his hometown team.
