| Jones is a good pick, if Cooper can play Center that would work too. Center is the big weakness now and in the future for this team. |

Yeah... no. Picking that deep in the order means AJ Smith stays in San Diego... and the man just invested a 3rd round pick in a safety-of-the-future and is notorious for not giving up on "his guys" after only a year (or two... or three...).
Beyond that, a safety doesn't do much to fix our secondary woes because our CB's are still getting toasted and BOTH of our starters from this season are FA's in 2013. Honest to God biggest need right now is OL but if AJ Smith stays the chances of him using a 1st round pick on OL are next-to-none. So investing in the trench on the other side of the ball is the best bet. Hankinson is a plug-and-play nose-guard (probably the best prospect in that respect since BJ Raji), who could get rotated in at 5-Tech to work him into the swing of things as we'll still likely carry Aubrayo Franklin or at minimum Cam Thomas (who'll be in a contract year) at the NT position.
Honestly, even a pass-rusher with high upside who may require a bit of polish before he can fully transition to OLB in a 3-4, like Jackson Jeffcoat, is more likely than a safety in the 1st. _________________

Assuming the Bengals re-sign Michael Johnson they have much greater needs in 1 than DE. Including OLB, RB, SS, and IMO, CB. _________________ 2013 Draft Needs: RB, Safety. Maybe RT and backup LBs |

Agreed, but the DE needs some youth/depth. If it played out this way, Mike brown better sprint to the podium with Oakland's second rounder and grab Lattimore (KC set with Charles and Cleveland with TRich). _________________

Solid for Da Bears. Amerson would do well in Lovies defense, I still have confidence in his ability to play CB at the next level if in the right scheme. _________________

Reid is solid, we need a Safety. _________________

Would LOVE Hankins at #25, but I don't see him falling that far... _________________

The Colts don't need an ILB. Warmack is the pick there. _________________

Short is a decent player, though WR is a bigger need than DT and I would probably prefer Cordarrelle Patterson or Terrance Williams there.
If the Vikes go defense, I would actually love TJ McDonald here too. That guy is going to be good and he fits the Vikes defense perfectly. |

I'd prefer Montgomery but, Jones is not a bad pick at all. _________________

Bray and Jones might be more tempting as players. _________________
