Dude, that's incredibly risky -- I would never even CONSIDER intentionally walking into a Walmart.

He will reach speeds around 700mph in the upper atmosphere where the "air" is not very dense. He will slow down as he falls through more dense atmosphere. By the time he pulls his parachute he'll be going the same speed as any other skydiver. |
Yeah, once he hits denser air, terminal velocity will decrease making that aspect a non-issue.

That, however, might not be such a non-issue, considering what birds can do to planes depending on the size of the bird.

To R2B- I do (half) that every day. The enter doors are on the left in the Walmart I work at. Exit on the right. The only thing to left once you enter the doors is customer service. It's so much easier to go through the other doors. I usually leave by going through the exit doors, though.
To Flaccomania- How, exactly, would you unintentionally walk into a Walmart? Wouldn't that hurt?

On the radio they were saying that once he hits our atmosphere, it will automatically slow him down to somewhere around 300 MPH or whatever the maximum terminal velocity is. (something to do with pressure or air thickness, of the different layers, I dont remember). Thats still super fast though.

I've dealt with this man as well as other teams attempting to accomplish this feat. It's sad both teams have to keep postponing the attempt. They have spent a fortune on research and failed attempts. I hope they get the required wind conditions at some point.

Maximum is redundant there. Terminal velocity (during a fall) means, essentially, as fast as an object can go because the pull of gravity is equal to the force of air resistance, drag, etc. pushing back against the object.
If skydiving spread-eagle, terminal velocity is ~ 120 mph. Arms in it's roughly ~200 mph, I think. In a nosedive, it's much, much higher (at high atmosphere, the record is ~614 mph - thinner air, less resistance).
