I remember telling people that Percy would be better then Desean Jackson, but nobody believed me. Both men are versatile when need be, Percy at running back and kick returner, while Desean is a great punt returner (even though the Eagles seem to have forgotten that). They are their QB's #1 reciever and have put themselves on the map as 2 of the most dangerous home run hitters in the game today. Ironically, they struggle with each other's specialities, Percy "lacks" deep threat ability while Desean is labeled a "one trick pony" but they are dangerous in their crafts. Who would you take? _________________

Desean is overrated, so I'd take Percy. |

DeSean is a fragile deep-threat who shies away from contact.
Percy is a dynamic playmaker who can score from anywhere on the field by using his power and speed.
Not even a discussion. |

Pretty how much I would state it word for word. _________________

I'll go with the guy who's not only the much better overall player, but doesn't pack it in for the year when things aren't going his way. _________________

Its interesting, these players couldnt be more polar opposites of one another.
One is a PR, the other is a KR.
One is only a deep threat, the other does everything but go deep.
One is weak and shies away from contact, the other is as strong as a bull and embraces contact.
One is one dimensional, the other is multidimensional.
Give me Harvin. |

Percy and it's not even close. Hoping Randall Cobb can be GB's Percy Harvin. _________________

Did you come up with this just to see Percy Harvin win? They're not even similar players. |

Preach brotha
Only thing I disagree with is that, this year Desean's putting his body on the line more (see play against Ed Reed) _________________

DeSean has improved mightily this season, and I think he can be a consistent 1000 yard receiver for years to come.
That being said I voted Percy without hesitation. Don't really see the point of this thread though, I didn't even think it was close. |

I think Percy is better, but I think that this is a closer argument then you think. Desean is actually playing a bit rougher despite his fragile frame. I'm sure you guys have watched the Ravens game for example, and he did wonders against the Giants as well. I would take Percy over Desean, but sports fans that I argue with (barbershop, and friends from the "lets talk sports" fan page on Facebook) say Jackson is better.
I live in Philly, so maybe the barbershop is a bit biased, but if individuals from other parts of the U.S. are saying the same thing, I figured this would be a legit argument. _________________

I just realized that my post makes it seem like I think DeSean is a bad player. That's not the case. When he has a good QB throwing to him, he's an elite deep-threat. He's just not that versatile, and pretty soft. |
