Matthews and Atkins bring one hell of a pass rush upgrade as well. While still keeping the leader of our D in the fold. Tho I'm not totally sold on this front. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that I heard the Lions run a system where they just ask their linemen to try and create havoc, and not to worry too much about gap responsibility. Just kind of knife up through the O-line if you will.
If that's the case, then I don't blame Suh too much for not being considered an decent run defender.
But then again, I don't know why any team would tell their players to do this. |
