BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No safety is needed even if Woodson retires. We have probably the second best rookie safety in the league right now. OT or C! I demand Barrett Jones. _________________

He is off the board already. Jake Matthews would be your best option if you want an OT. I think having 2 Matthews would be pretty awesome. _________________

Sweet. As I said I was somewhat unsure if that was a good option for you guys. He is very solid. _________________

The reason being is i think that your wrong in the sense that you think Ryan relies on the TE position too much it's just that he relies on Gonzo alot because Gonzo is just that good. I truthfully believe that if Gonzo left and Harry was the 3rd option you would see him used more than a new TE that comes in considering when Gonzo is not on the field Ryan doesn't use the TE position no where near as much with a guy like Palmer. Since Eifert would be new and not on the level as Gonzo for sure i think he would be at best the 4th option for ryan to look at which would lower his value to me not being a 1st rounder.
Then you add in the TE class for next year being much better coming out and i say either take a guy later in this draft say 3rd round to work on or wait till next year when their is better talent if you must go 1st round or 2nd round. |
I understand what your saying but I genuinely disagree. I think TE is our biggest need next offseason. We have 5 DEs on roster for next season, 2 being under 24 years old with potential, 2 that rotate with each other (Kroy and Ray) and despite hate by some fans actually works well, and Abe who is not playing like he's 34. Back to the Ray and Kroy combo, Ray is a below average pass rusher, but he is a top 5 4-3 DE in run stuffing. Sounds awful, but we use him on first and sometimes second down. Then I'm passing situations we bring in Kroy who does everything from WB spy, to rush the passer, to play deep zone coverage 30 yards down field. Those 3 along with Massaquoi and Matthews should be fine.
Only other needs I see our a nickel CB, LB depth, RB, and a rotational DT. None maybe besides RB should warrant a first round pick. Maybe a DT...
Here's how I see us drafting.
1: TE/RB
2: TE/RB
3: DT/TE/RB/CB
4: DT/CB
5: LB _________________

I like Lattimore in that spot. Not all bengal fans agree, but what we all agree on is that our biggest need is LBs, so if you expand the draft to three rounds, look there for us. And even though we need DE depth, it is not a first round need at this point (assuming for now that we resign Michael Johnson). _________________

I think I'd be very disappointed if we passed on Barrett Jones, interior OL help is much more of a priority right now than another OLB. _________________

True but you said you wanted an OT and he is the best one on the board at that spot. Lol. Any other suggestions because Reid isn't seeming popular. _________________
