This is not a Hakeem vs Jordan debate

here is the question: If Jordan never retires, does he win 8 straight titles or do the Rockets beat him twice, or once?

Keeping all this in mind, look at the rosters as they were, only add Jordan to the Bulls

Honestly, i think the bulls win in 1994, but i think the 1995 rockets might have been able to win and heres why

The bulls roster in 1995 was seriously lacking any kind of inside presence, and i think Hakeem would have owned the series...think about the 33 points he put up per game against Shaq(who had 28 himself)...Hakeem was unguardable by anyone on the bulls roster

now same could have been said about Jordan, but the rockets also had Cylde Drexler to the Bulls Pippen....would have been a fantastic series

Being totally honest here, I cannot fathom Michael Jordan losing in the NBA Finals. No disrespect to the Rockets or my man Hakeem, but the Bulls would have won eight straight, IMO.

It is hard to see the bulls losing a finals, but they would have had a tough time getting past the magic that season as well

the rockets sweep the magic 4-0 in the finals that season, but it was 4 really good games

We've had threads on this before, Bulls in 94, even or even pro Rockets in 95.

In 94' an MJ-less Bulls team took the Knicks to 7 games, who took the Rockets to 7 games... So yeah.

Rockets would definitely have a great shot due to the Bulls losing Grant in 95. The Bulls would have won in 94, but lost in 95 to the Rockets. They lacked a inside presence that year, and it was only after they acquired Rodman they took off once again. The Bulls swept the Magic in 95, but that series would have been closer if Grant hadn't suffered a elbow injury.

And people aren't taking into consideration the grind of going to that many consecutive finals. Steve Kerr said a few weeks ago that after winning in 98, there was no way they could have won the following season as they were running on fumes. But we expect the Bulls to make eight consecutive finals? Shocked

You can't just transitive property the playoffs. It's all about matchups, teams matchup better/worse against certain teams.

In fact, I do not think the bulls would have been in NBA final in 1995, even with a peak Jordan

Right, the Pacers took the Heat to 6 two years ago, while the Thunder lost in 5. Does that mean the Pacers would have beat the Thunder? Hell no, everything is about match ups in the postseason.

The loss of Grant is being ignored here, and the power of the East switched the following year once he went to Orlando. Bulls had a huge hole in the middle, but luckily they filled it by getting Rodman.
