Let's take an honest look at the remaining schedule. We are 6-2 and in control of the NFC East but the remaining schedule gets pretty brutal. How do you guys see it finishing out?
vs. Pittsburgh L 6-3
I see this as a loss. We are coming off two emotional nail biting wins against divisional rivals and our offense has been sputtering a bit. Pitt has alot of talent on offense. I think it will be a close game, but we take a loss.
@Cincy W 7-3
I see us going into Cincy and putting a hurting on the Bengals prior to the Bye.
Bye
vs Green Bay L 7-4
Another tough game. They are going to be looking for redemption for the playoffs and I think they will get it. Again it will be close, but we take a loss
@ Washington W 8-4
I know RG3 gave us all we can handle the first time in our house. But even with all the talent Washington has they aren't ready to contend yet. I think we win this solidly.
vs New Orleans W 9-4
I just don't think this team is that good without Payton. Brees is having a great year but their defense is week. In our house I think we take down the Saints
@ Atlanta L 9-5
Tough tough game. This is not the same team we dominated in the playoffs last year. I can't see us going into their house and winning
@ Baltimore W 10-5
Without Lewis this team just isn't as good as their record indicates. Good matchup for us.
vs Philly W 11-5
No way they sweep us. I fully expect Foles to be the QB by this point with Philly preparing to go into rebuild mode after a lackluster season. The Giants may not be playing for the division by this point, but seeding may be at stake. _________________

I think we finish 11-5. But with the way the division has been shaping up, 10-6 might do it. We could make the playoffs finishing the season 4-4. _________________

Heh. If it wasn't for the Eagles game you would have picked exactly the opposite outcomes as me. _________________

I know some of those are gonna be unpopular opinions to some.
But I feel like Aj Green is gonna light us up. We've barely beaten the skins. I feel like the saints are gonna get on a roll and make a run to the playoffs. And the ravens ... well the ravens are the ravens. _________________

This is how I see it going. Ravens (ok, Flacco) play much better at home than on the road. I think we take down the Steelers, Saints and Cincy...Packers and division games are going to be a slug fest...and I want to beat Atlanta because their fans are driving me nuts. _________________

http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/44967/what-will-giants-do-with-this-years-6-2
| Quote: | | The effect of the Giants' most recent Super Bowl title in the Giants' locker room has been a calming one. When they get into trouble, they believe they can (actually will) pull out of it. They have complete trust in Coughlin and Manning and all of the experienced leaders on their roster to guide them through inevitable challenges and tough times, and those leaders have confidence the team's less experienced players will listen to them. They are running the ball better than they did last year. They are deeper at the second level of the defense than they were last year. They have a kick return game. The offensive line is better. There is a pile of reasons to believe this year's Giants are better than the Giants who went 3-5 in the second half of last season before lighting it up in the playoffs. |

Steelers- W
Cincy- W
Giants fans will be feeling good at this point. We'll be at about 3 on most power rankings, etc.
Packers- L
Skins- L
Saints- L
...then all hell breaks loose. Many "Giants second half collapse" threads appear, people start saying we'll miss the playoffs and lose out. Most of all, that we are going to get destroyed by the Falcons next week.
Falcons- W
Ravens- W
Eagles- W
Then we win out, finish 11-5 and first place in the NFC East with the #3 seed behind SanFran and Chicago. Atlanta is 4. Packers 5. Tampa Bay 6.
I'm actually willing to put money on this happening exactly the way I put it, minus the Eagles game win in week 17, although that won't effect much. _________________

We're currently #2 Beating the Steelers and Cincy will push us to #1 if Atlanta stumbles at all. _________________
