Interesting draft. A few observations:
Round 1
- Surprised if Cleveland go QB. Weeden after game 1 has looked decent enough.
- I enjoy seeing the Jets fail, so Mingo is perfect.
- Think the Rams would go Allen rather than CB.
- 49ers surely wised up to USC safeties with no instincts after Taylor Mays experience
- Eifert good for Falcons with my preferred targets gone. One of perils of picking at #32!
Round 2
- Lattimore will not declare after his injury. If he does, very unlikely to go in top 80 considering he may well not play in 2013.
- Surely Redskins can do better than yet another WR?
- Holmes (C) looks dreadful whenever I watch him
- Jefferson very interesting for Falcons. LOVE the player but unsure of the need. Are you suggesting we fail to re-sign Moore, or is he 3rd safety for Nolan's big nickel? _________________

Corner is not a need for the Rams at this point. Change that pick to Keenan Allen and then in the second go with Cooper at G. _________________

Cornerback is not a top need for the Vikings which run a Tampa 2 defense where there is more emphasis on the safety position rather than cornerback position. Vikings have enough talent at CB at Xavier Rhodes isn't even worthy of a 1st round pick by any team. The Vikings would definitely go with OL Barrett Jones.
Here's how I would like for the draft to pan out.
1st- OL Barrett Jones BAMA
2nd- WR Da'rick Rogers TTU
3rd- MLB Michael Mauti PSU
4th (Detroit)- DT Josh Boyd MSU
4th- DE Devin Taylor USC
5th- WR Ryan Swope TAMU
6th (Titans)- TE Jake Stoneburner OSU
6th- OLB Jake Knott ISU |

Second rounder is fantastic. Perfect pick. |
I agree. Don't like the first rounder since he's not a good fit but Lester is a nice pick in the second. I like the guys you mentioned and I would throw in Okafor as well. _________________

You can never have too many talented cornerbacks, so I would never complain about the Vikings drafting Rhodes, but seeing who else would be available, I think there are better options. Both Barrett Jones and T.J. McDonald would be better pics, because of their talent and the team's need at their respective position. Obviously a #1 caliber receiver would be ideal, as it's the team's greatest need, but since none are available, Ponder and the offense will need to get help elsewhere. Barrett Jones would easily step in as the starter at left guard and give Minnesota an elite left side to their offensive line, placing him between Matt Kalil and John Sullivan. The secondary is also another much improved part of the Vikings, but it could certainly use more talent. So, while a player like Rhodes would certainly build on the talent, and be a welcomed addition, like another poster wrote, the Vikings have a nice solid group of cornerbacks with Cook, Robinson, Jefferson, and Winfield if he returns. But safety is where we could use another playmaker. T.J McDonald would not only add a big time starter and talented player to pair with rookie standout Harrison Smith, but he would also give the Vikings some great depth at safety, allowing the team to move current starter Mistral Reymond to a backup role.
In the 2nd round, Jesse Williams would be a perfect pick. _________________

It would look amazing if in fact we did switch to a 4-3.... but I doubt it happens. _________________

I think I and most of the fan base would kill if we didn't address the OL in either of the first two rounds.
Te'o would be a good pick ONLY if we were converting to a 4-3 defense, and while I like Williams we have to upgrade the OL. _________________

Have you had a chance to see any Bills games this year? One could argue that all 3 LB positions need to be addressed and you never know which Fitzpatrick will show up on gameday! At #13 with both Manti Te'o & Tyler Wilson still available, sorry, there's no way we go WR! _________________

For the Seahawks, Justin Hunter is a great pick. In the 2nd, I would prefer DJ Fluker or Jesse Williams. _________________
