Did I really read he was a near 6m cap hit this or next year?
Can we use that money to trade for Bowe and sign him long term?

We can roll over the money next year. Hopefully we use that money to bring in Bowe, Jennings or Wallace.

Yep. He was just going to be sitting there taking up cap space and a roster spot.
Without him on the roster, even if his cap hit isn't as high as thought, it seems much more likely that we'll go after a WR this offseason.
