It's strange to me how NFL.com is plagued with speculation and such a lot more than other official league websites. Sometimes it's good, other times...not so much. _________________

While the quote from Shanahan wasn't as bad as the way the headline made it seem, it was a stupid thing to say for sure. _________________ With much cheese,

| I would too if I got out-coached by Ron Rivera. |

I don't think this is really a News-type topic. I'll move it to Gen. _________________

Yeah, as a Rams fan, I'm all for the Redskins trying new people out to get experience and sacrifice the season. _________________ It's [insert any time here] and Georgetown still sucks! |

He didn't get out-coached, his team just didn't execute. That's not like he was making dumb call after dumb call. |

The defense on the other hand has been gifting big plays left and right. Can't consistently win like that; they will have to re-tool that secondary next year or they will have the same problems occurring again. Haslett can get the job done he just needs some stallions that don't make mental mistakes. |
No, he can't. He's a terrible coordinator and his bend but don't break scheme has been ineffective for years. _________________

whats in the water up in Washington these days? Eerily similar to what the Nationals did hanging up Strasburg and pretty much giving up on the rest of the year after that.. maybe I'm the only one that sees both situations as kind of the same, its just weird to me. _________________

Don't follow baseball, mate. I'll have to take your word on the Strasburg thing.
With my beloved Skins its looking dire. I don't believe Shanahans given up on the season but I don't really see how this season can be salvaged? _________________ All the other D's with the pumped up schemes

I approve of the thought honestly. The NFC is too deep to realistically contend for a playoff spot. Obviously you are trying to win (especially since they don't have the first rounder to tank for) but its smart to base more decisions based on team development rather than schematically winning the game.
In other words, expect them to distance themselves from the spread aspects of the offense and focus more on developing RGIII's passing ability. |

I think Shanny gets one more year with RG3 next year and if he doesn't make the playoffs then he's gone. _________________ Ted brought us Clay
