For the Bengals i'd rather have Elam over Lacy and hope Lacy falls to where you have us picking Lester. Love the Te'o, and Simon picks. _________________

gfw,
For the Chiefs...
#1, I like the Geno Smith pick.
#2, I would prefer Kevin Minter, definite value pick and gives us more flexibility than Jovan Belcher.
#3, I would prefer Kyle Fuller, we need a legitimate #2 corner opposite Brandon Flowers. _________________

I'm not denying Buffalo needs a new QB, and would even consider trading up for one of the top two if the price was right. Nor am I against Tyler Wilson as the first pick, but I would trade down and hope to get him later in the first.
If they can't make a trade work in either direction, I would make a better value pick and take the best QB left on the board at the start of round 2. There are enough intriguing QB prospects that even if we miss out on Wilson, at least one of them is all but sure to be around for the third pick in round 2. |
I don't get your logic .. "The fourth pick us simply too valuable to take the number 3 QB this year." Based on team need QB/OLB/WR/OG/S what prospect as of right now is more worthy? Also if u were to trade up essentially, u feel Geno/Barkley are our 2013 2nd, 2014 1st and 2014 2nd better than Wilson ...
As for mock, I'd much rather WR Da'Rick Rogers in 3rd for Bills and Tyrann Matheiu is a round or 2 to high IMO |
Why would I think they're so much better they're worth that much? I said if the price is right, and that certainly isn't. RGIII doesn't mean that you'll always have to pay a King's ransom for the #2 QB.
I would trade our second this year, and maybe go a little higher if push came to shove to get Barkley or Geno over Tyler Wilson, but no more than that. If they won't sell for that price, don't buy and try to trade down.
Even if I couldn't trade down, I'd probably take Keenan Allen instead for a couple of reasons.
1. I think Tyler Wilson could still be around in the second. (Even if that sounds as crazy as say ... Jimmy Clausen falling that far. )
2. I don't think Tyler Wilson has proven he's far enough ahead of the next few QBs that it's worth giving up a top prospect to take him over whatever QB is left to us. Basically, I think WR talent is going to fall off far faster than QB talent, and I want to give whatever QB we do get the weapons to succeed. |

Quite frankly, this mock may of changed my life for the better. Picking 32nd makes me happy...and Williams and Wagner make me smile.
Good for you. Like this lots, I do. _________________

Safety in the first is great...and I do like McDonald.
ILB is good in the 2nd.
I dont care for CB in the 3rd. If the value is great, okay, but we have some young talent at corner already. id rather spend that on a DLineman, especially NT. |
Is NT a need? I assumed it was with Casey's career coming to a finish - but I gave you guys a NT in the last mock I did and got shot down by one of your fellow Steelers fan who cited you guys drafting Ta'amu last year as the reason why. _________________

My thoughts exactly - A tackle is more important than a guard any way. _________________

I don't know about answering a prayer but I can't really complain. The only pick I don't like is the Elam one. The reason is that we more need a FS who can make plays in coverage whereas Elam is a downhill SS...not really much of a need.
I think Tony Jefferson has to be the pick there. He fits what we need perfectly. If you give us Tony Jefferson, I will love your mock long time. _________________

Let's see:
Improved protection for Bradford? Check.
Receiver who can get separation? Check.
Playmaker in the secondary? Check.
Solid player at linebacker? Check.
That would be an excellent draft from the Rams' perspective. _________________ I watched the Rams at Wembley and stayed until the bitter end. |

Thanks man, that’s high praise coming from you. I'll make a note about FS being a higher need. _________________

I'd love this draft all day, we'd be a .500 team if that first round pans out. the other 2 are just icing. |
