With the 1st pick in the 2013 NFL Draft

The Kansas City Chiefs select.....

Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia University

Height: 6'3" Weight: 214 lbs. 40 yard dash: 4.78 seconds

Stats:
327 completions/466 attempts
70.2 completion %
7.72 YPA
3,597 yards passing
37 TDs passing
5 INTs
150 yards rushing
2 TDs rushing
39 total TDs

The Kansas City Chiefs are proud to welcome Geno Smith to our organization. Geno brings a great attitude, leadership, and work ethic to Kansas City along with tremendous physical ability. We believe that Geno can immediately be the leader on offense that our club has lacked for the last few seasons. With the pieces we currently have in place around him, we know that Geno will be in a position to succeed and showcase his talent from the start. Kansas City is excited about a bright future and an explosive offense with Geno at the helm.

With the 6th overall pick the Philadelphia Eagles Select

Luke Joeckel

We're extremely excited to add a LT of Mr. Joeckel's caliber to our program. We feel he can start from day one and should have a long and successful career here in Philadelphia. We love his work ethic/character and the overall completeness to his game, especially his instincts.

@AdamSchefter
Quote:
Joeckel was PHI's #1 prospect and were excited to land him at #6. Had Jarvis Jones and Star right behind him, so there was no question on who'd they take.

Withe the 9th pick in the NFL draft...the San Diego Chargers Select....

Barkevious "Keke" Mingo OLB, LSU

The Chargers already met their need at OT with one of the best in the business, now its time to go with some needs on D. Mingo is the most explosive pass rusher to come out since Von Miller. With Ingram already playing at a high level, we will match Mingo and Ingram together to make one of the best pass rushing tandems in the entire NFL.

With the 11th Pick in the NFL Draft the 49ers select:

WR - Keenan Allen - California - 6'3" 210lbs

After trading Crabtree to the Patriots for Talib and a pick, we've decided to add Keenan Allen from California, the best WR in the draft and since he's been in Cali for the past three years, he is physically gifted. I wanted to trade for another first round or early second round for another person.

The 49ers welcome Keenan as Kap's newest target.

With the 12th pick obtained from the Tennessee Titans the Pittsburgh Steelers select from the University of Alabama, Cornerback Dee Milliner

The Steelers are very happy to land the best cornerback in the nation that comes from an outstanding, pro-ready defensive oriented team such as Alabama. He will fit in nicely with our younger cornerbacks and will be mentored by veteran Ike Taylor. We feel it was worth the price to trade up to get such an immense talent. Coach Tomlin welcomes him to the Steeler secondary and looks forward to him wearing the Black and Gold for many productive years.
