Wow, Edwards was playing that bad huh? Shocked

The Titans desperately need DE depth so I wouldn't mind if we signed him. He can't be any worse than our current back-up DEs.

Does he offer any sort of pass rush?

Wouldn't mind the Saints giving him a small deal and seeing how he finishes out the season, he can't be worse than Will Smith.

I remember when we gave the mega contract to Charles Johnson, people were saying Atlanta was smarter to give Edwards what they did rather than "overpay" for Johnson. Fast forward, Johnson with 8.5 sacks, 5 FFs in 9 games and in '11, was 6th in TFLs.

Surprised he's been as unproductive as he has but never got the feeling he was as good as he was being made out to be after he left Minnesota.

I just want to say that I was really glad the Vikings picked Brian Robison over Ray Edwards when their contracts were up and I am twice as glad about it now...

Yep smart move by the Vikings. No sarcasm.

Did he just give up after he got paid or what?

I'd still take him on the Bears. See what Rod Marinelli can do with him. Not to mention Shea left with a concussion yesterday, so they may need someone to fill in for him.

Ray was a very solid LDE in Minnesota, but was not a great pass rusher, and only had one better than average year which turned into a payday.

Playing next to Jared Allen and the Williams Wall (obviously better than Edwards) did help him look good.
