Atlanta Falcons
Now that the Falcons cut Ray Edwards, I think that they need a real DE to complement Abraham and replacement him in few years, in other hand the future HOF, Tony Gonzalez said that this is his last year as player, the falcons need to find 2 excellent players to make a big impact, I believe that they should be taken in the next draft.

I have multiple issues, but most notably...
Peria Jerry has no reason to be cut at the moment. Although he has underperformed, he is improving...
That trade feels like a raw deal. Giving up a 1st 2nd and 5th for two seconds... It makes no sense to give up an extra pick to trade down...
Sidbury has shown too much potential not to be resigned...
Not sure about the pick from Auburn. I live in Alabama and I've never heard of him... _________________

Hmmmm where to begin...
well, first off that trade you have us pulling seems extremely counter productive as stated in the post before mine.
Secondly the draft itself is extremely unrealistic theres no way those players fall that far. I mean Orwen Smith to the 7th? The guys averaging 9ypc and hes the feature back in GTs triple option
also cutting Jerry makes no sense, just drop him down the depth chart if anything _________________ formerly MadAtFalcons |

Orwin's draft stock is set right now at 5-7
Hunt and Porter picks are unrealistic as hell though _________________

| TE and DE are addressed high in in your mock, good job. This year's RB class is very deep and it makes sense to wait a few rounds to pick one up. |

Peria Jerry was a firts round pick, the falcons expected a lot more production from him, he has less production than Jamaal Anderson on his last year with Atlanta and will cost 2M in 2013, that money could be used with other players.
In 2008 the Falcons did a similar trade, we trade picks 34 and 47 for 21, 84 and 154, in 2013 the trade could be picks 32 and 158 in 2013 and 64 in 2014 for 36 and 48 in 2013 or if the falcons trade with the Dolphins the picks are 40 and 52 in 2013.
The problem is that he only show potencial, but it has to be translated to the game.
About Oday Aboushi is a tackle from Auburn and in this moment in some rankins he is between the 50-70 spot and fill a necesity. |

Jamaal Anderson barely played a few years in the league. Jerry is a starter. _________________

Jerry is the starter becuase Peters did not play in the firts seven or eigth games and rigth now the Falcons are the 28th rushing defense. |

Jerry has busted. I hated the pick at the time but supported it like I do with all the picks. I saw nothing special about him watching Ole Miss. He's 28, has been in the NFL for four years now, and has done NOTHING. It's time to cut him loose, IMO. _________________

I honestly think that Anderson>Jerry as a player. Anderson was at least good at something, which was stopping the run. Jerry is good at nothing. _________________

Even if Jerry has "busted" which he pretty well has, he is our #3 DT and taking a lot of snaps. I think we keep him and re-sign him for cheap when its time. I wouldn't mind getting rid of him if we draft a replacement though. _________________

If the falcons cut him, Vance Walker and Travian Robertson could take more snaps and have a faster development.
TJ Barnes is a true NT "0 tecnique" that could help in 3-4 formation. |
