I've joked around with Ragone as the butt of said joke for the last two years, but guy has been outstanding as a WR coach. Would be nice to see how he'd do as an interim OC. |
Heard good things about this new guy as well. We'll have to see. Team has the talent but the playcalling was atrocious at times. |

Dave Ragone -- the former Texans QB? | Yep. I used to make a pretty big deal about it, but guy has proven his chops with the development of Nate Washington, Damian Williams, Kendall Wright and Kenny Britt. He's taken a unit that was never thought of as great, but turned them into one of the better units in the NFL. _________________

Wasn't a good fit. A change was definitely needed. Palmer is a very conservative play caller to say the least. Jake Locker and Chris Johnson are boom or bust kind of guys that don't fit that mold. _________________

I think we can both agree that we want Schwartz around for a long time.. _________________ @PJHotel_ |

No surprise really. Many more changes are needed in Tennessee, wouldn't surprise me if Munchak was fired as coach at the end of the season. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |

Well, I wouldn't say that...if our WRs could actually catch, Jake Locker would have had 3 touchdown passes on Sunday and we might not be having this conversation. But then, that was a particularly atrocious off-day and not the norm.
Titans fans have been hearing good things about Dowell Loggains for a couple years, and I know that he's been playing an integral part in Jake Locker's development, so this was a more intuitive option than Ragone would have been.
We'll see what he can do, I guess. _________________

QFT. they have to much talent that looks being misused and its obvious. Got to be frustrating when you got Locker and Johnson and some other nice key pieces around them and you cant do anything creative or to utilize your strengths. _________________

Um... Norv firing Hal Hunter doesn't save his job, especially considering it's obvious scapegoating when Norv is the one calling the offensive plays. Is Hal the OL coach? Is this OL porous as all get-out? Yes. But at this point firing Hal for his bosom buddy - the guy that was his assistant OL coach and is equally worthless - John Sullivan accomplishes very little.
And firing John Pagano, our DC, would be incredibly stupid. His unit has actually shown improvement this season. They're not without their faults, but they've made marked improvements over past products under Manusky and Cottrell (arguably over the Rivera defense as well which benefited from schedule that was victimized by a ton of blitzing). Throw in that our defense is now poised to be without 3, potientially 4, of its regular starters for at least the next game and in some cases longer... and firing Pagano effectively concedes getting blown out the rest of the season as opposed to just folding in the second half en route to losses the rest of the season. _________________

Very frustrating when you have a good offensive pass blocking line, decent wideouts, running back who is actually doing good this year, and a tight end that is one of the most talented in the NFL.....

Wasn't Dave Ragone a QB? I think I recall using him in old madden games. _________________
