for dramatic effect? Rolling Eyes

No it's a slowed down clip to show proof of a dirty act.

I hate to break it to you, but the real life doesn't happen in slow motion.

WTH is your point? He extended his leg to kick Schaub. Normal speed... slow motion... sped up... its still dirty!!!

Right, Suh has enough athletic ability and nimple enough to extend and kick while falling to the ground. Like Jaws had said, Suh isn't a ninja. Slow motion in instant replay always makes things worse than they really ala hits.

LMAO... so it was momentum that lifted his leg and extended it directly into Schaubs crotch??? You're sounding ridiculous.

If they fine him it shows it was an infraction but not worthy of suspension. A fine indicates the contact wasn't on purpose.

No.

Players don't get fined for accidental contact to the groin. If he's fined it's 100% because they deemed it to be intentional.

Which wouldn't make sense.

They should either deem it intentional and hand out a suspension or not penalize it all if they're not certain it was intentional.

Got it do every fine means those guys intentionally lead with hear, horse collared, hit defenseless receiver and so on.

Guess I missed memo saying fine = intentional.

urghh i hate agreeing with detfan. But he is right on this one. Fine doesnt equal intent. Fine just means you did something wrong.

Sure they could. It would set a bad precedent, but they could, without a doubt.

So if Suh got fined $30,000 I wonder how much Bunkley will get for kicking someone in the head?

I'm sure they'll take history into account.

Oh I'm sure Suh's was a little bit more because of that. Just was curious as to what it ends up being.

This pretty much confirms my suspicion as to what went down.

The kick wasn't accidental or some purely reactionary flailing to falling. Suh intended a kick, but that's about all that can really be concluded in this. Can't conclude he intended to kick Schaub, or beyond that that he intended to kick Schaub specifically in the crotch. He was trying to still have an effect on the play (perhaps maybe to try and block the pass - no matter how unlikely that seemed), even though that's a dumb way to go about it, because his own risk for injury is actually higher. The kick itself (inadvertent or intentional) was illegal and as a result should be fined, and had it actually affected the play it likely would have been flagged as well. The rules state clearly, you can't use your feet and legs in that capacity period.

There's no definitive proof that Suh specifically aimed a kick at Schaub's stones and rocketed off a blind mule kick at them.

I agree, and for that reason I believe the league were on point with their penalty.

I'd guess a little more than Suh's first fine?
