Not sure how effective he will be, but it's worth a shot. He's pretty cheap this year and we'll be able to walk away if we don't like his production.

I have mixed feelings on this signing because of the type of player and person Babin is, but there's not harm in trying to fix our pass rush. I just hope this doesn't prevent us from drafting a DE next year.

Yep. Just offering an alternate possibility though.
Honestly, if Henne brings us to 5-11/6-10, Gene's probably staying, as would Mularkey. *shrug* It'll get spun as one player holding our potential back.
