Didn't Charles tear his ACL at home going out of bounds? _________________

That's sad, really feel bad for the guy. Hopefully he can rehab this knee and be back at 100% for next season. |
The number of knee injuries suffered at Ford Field is alarming.
I really believe the field is suspect as a contributing factor. It's not just limited to the Lions because visiting teams also have players that suffer knee injuries in Detroit. |
The Colts used to have the same problem...I don't know how many high draft picks we lost because of our cheapass turf. That pretty much ruined Steve Emtman, for starters. |

1000% agree with this. I cringe every time I see the Bengals playing the Lions. Kenny Irons tore his ACL against the Lions in the preseason which ended his career before it ever got started (Probably would have sucked anyway, but still). Ki Jana Carter tore his ACL against the Lions as well, but I think it was pre-Ford Field. Still bad juju in Detroit... |
Yeah, that would've been at the Silverdome. tbh haven't really noticed anything in terms of a higher volume of injuries at Ford Field, but I don't pay attention to that stuff. Surely it's possible, but I would guess more of a coincidence.
and to poster a few above, Charles was running out of bounds but I'm pretty sure it was at Ford Field. iirc he almost ran/tripped into Roary _________________

I was hoping Broyles would find a groove and run with it... I like his potential in this league; but tearing both ACL are a problem. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

If I remember correctly Charles was pretty much a freak accident as he slipped on the first down marker...but I'm not positive. _________________ 2012 AAL: Chris Greenwood |

But this sucks. He was looking like he could be a very good receiver. This will just delay his development....again. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

Nah, just the turf monster. Rams have the same issue. _________________

Pep tweaked his knee pretty good there last year, Mark Bradley tore his ACL there in 2005. God I hope we are able to sit our starters somehow in that game. _________________

| At what point does the NFL start looking in to field conditions with injuries like this? |
